Guest Reviews

  • "We just spend a wonderful long weekend with another couple and their two small children and our dog. Banksia was well equipped and comfortably furnished. The large secure fenced yard was great for games with the children and dog. Proximity to the beach and playground, the views and the peacefulness were very much enjoyed. There was much talk of a return visit. "

  • "Lovely, clean, sunny house. Well equipped kitchen which included a dishwasher (yay!) and nice sunny deck. Very close to beach. We had a small catarmaran and were able to pull it up onto the beach each night. A lovely place for a holiday."

  • "Banksia Cottage was perfect for our family of Parents, 2 children under 8 and Grandparents. The house is bright and clean and very 'beachy' and so convienient to the beach. Basil the labrador also had a ball. We will book again."

  • "Stayed at Banksia Cottage for 2 nights in March 2008. Cottage was very clean when we arrived, but the outside of the house could of had some cleaning (ie: grass cut and cob webs removed). The outside granny flat came in really handy for our group of 10 people as there was plenty of room for everyone. The main bathroom could do with a renovation. Kitchen was great with everything you need. The bay was nice for a walk but couldn't swim as there was alot of red algie. Callala Bay is a really nice and quite spot with the shopping centre only a minutes drive away with everything you need there. The skate park near the shops was a hit with the kids. Great weekend would probably return."

  • "Loved Banksia cottage, good vibe to the place especially the little cottage out the back. the whole place was nicely set up inside, airy fresh clean and appropriately stocked. Only comment is would be good to plant some head high shrubs on the southern wooden fence, to block out the view of neighbours on their deck, would create a little more privacy for both backyards, should be native shrubs that don't grow too high to block the ocean view of course, perhaps a line of bottle brushes to attract the birds, a line of shrubs on the other wooden fence would not go astray either, alternate with hydrangeas perhaps to keep the old cottage feel as well ah the gardener in me. Would love to return one day soon. Regards Lyndal Page"

  • "Website accurately describes property and location. Very comfortable, great bbq & deck area. Has good basic supplies.... we have stayed at properties which have condiments, oils, canned goods, coffee, tea & sugar ..... and properties which have zero. This property falls in the middle with all expected starter supplies provided. "
