This is the fully self contained upper storey of lovely beach house. It is very child friendly with all conveniences included. It features two bedrooms and two balconies, outdoor eating area with BBQ, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, all linen and bedding, computer, wifi, mobile phone, wide screen TV, dvd's, games, books, toys, surf boards, boogie boards, sand toys, beach shelter...everything you need to have a relaxing holiday by the beach. There are also lots of books and information folders about things to see and do in the area.
The kitchen has a dish washer, stove, gas oven, microwave, slow cooker, a wide range of well stocked cooking and dining implements. It comes complete with condiments, herbs, spices, oil, vinegar etc as well as clingwrap, foil, garbage bags. A wide range of hot beverages are also supplied. High chairs are supplied for free upon request.
The bedrooms are both bright and sunny. They open onto a balcony and overlook a leafy, private garden. One bedroom has a queen bed. The second is versatile and can either have a King bed or two single beds - making it adaptable to suite your requirements. Porta cots are provided for free upon request. The rear balcony has a children's table and chair setting.
The bathroom has both a shower and a bath. Bath toys, potty, toilet step and toilet insert are provided for younger children.
The front balcony has a dining table and BBQ with views to enjoy.
North Curl is on the beach on the Northern beaches peninsula, it is two beaches north of Manly and is a quiet family suburb, it does not have the tourists, pub, night clubs and hustle and bustle of Manly, yet is only 10 minutes away by a local bus that leaves every half hour. This bus terminates at the Manly ferry and is designed to synchronise with every ferry arrival and departure to Circular Quay where you will see the Harbour bridge, Opera House and the old convict area of the Rocks. The ferry ride to the city is an absolutely breathtaking trip past many of Sydney’s harbour side suburbs.
North Curl Curl Beach is surrounded by cliffs and dunes. Clean waves make it a popular surfing spot. Even at the height of summer its long stretch of golden sand remain relatively uncrowded. During summer it has lifeguard patrolled swimming areas and an enclosed ocean pool.
South Curl Curl Beach has a casual cafe, swimming pool and flagged swimming area in summer.
Dee Why Beach, one kilometre away is another popular surfing spot. It extends up to Long Reef point where the wind flow is ideal for Para-surfing. There is also a family orientated park and picnic area.
Queenscliff or Freshwater Beach is close by and ideal for small children with its sheltered water.
Manly Beach, is a well known tourist beach with plenty of activities and sheltered inlets.
DINING
There are many choices in the way of restaurants, cafes and take-aways, including local vegetarian restaurant Emelias and COOH cafe. Within walking distance is Dee Why promenade with Italian, Modern Australian, Thai, Fish & Chips, and Japanese establishments all overlooking the beach. Manly is 10 minutes away by bus or car and boasts many excellent cosmopolitan restaurants.
WALKS
Curl Curl to Dee Why headland offers a not too strenuous half hour coastal walk boasting fabulous cliff and ocean views.
Around Manly there are a number of beautiful walks from the famous Scenic Walkway, to informal strolls along the ocean front promenade to Shelley Beach. Longer walks can be found around Sydney Harbour National Park all the way to the Spit Bridge. For more walks you can check out the Manly Tourism website.
PARKS
Directly across the road from the Beach House is a grassy reserve, ideal for a family game of cricket, ball throwing, or kite flying. It also has a children's playground with swings, seesaw and slippery dip.
Stoney Range Nature Reserve in Dee Why is a great picnic destination with BBQ facilities provided.
Manly dam is a great place for children and only 15 minutes away. It has a playground, BBQ areas, ducks and swimming.
Netball and football fields are just down the road - along with more playgrounds.
Ku-ring-gai National Park is close by on the Northern beaches peninsular.
SHOPPING
Manly Corso - An open-air mall with numerous variety shops including clothing, home wares, food, banks, pubs and souvenirs. It also hosts a weekend arts and craft market.
Warringah Mall - A huge indoor shopping complex, with big department stores, fashion chains, specialty shops, food courts, movie theatres, banks and library.
Dee Why - The local shopping centre has Supermarkets, videos, bakery, restaurants, chemists, banks etc.
Chatswood and the city center are about 30 minutes away via bus.
