Dragon's Lair

"Our stay at Dragon's Lair was amazing. Mike and Krysia are incredible hosts. They left champagne and candles for our wedding night. They are warm, friendly and generous people and made us feel at home. We highly reccommend this property to any couple looking for somewhere quiet, scenic and relaxing to stay. I't also not far from Bermagui and all the beauty of the Sapphire Coast and Wallaga Lakes. We hope to stay again next time we are down that way."

"Summary: A very quiet and relaxing place to stay, with a very 'homey' feel and the best hospitality you'll receive! 10/10 Location: The Dragon's Lair is fully self contained loft-style apartment, adjoining the home of the owners/hosts. Despite sharing a wall, you do not hear from the hosts and you feel like you have as much privacy as you would anywhere else. It is located on the shores of Wallaga Lake and about a ten minute walk to the ocean beach. If you're after total quiet and relaxation - this is the place for you! As it is nestled amongst the natural bush setting, you'll expect to see kangaroos, goannas and kookaburras. The closest shops are about 5 min drive south to Bermagui where you'll find a supermarket, cafes/restaurants, gift shops and everything else you'd expect from a small coastal village. Apartment: This beautiful mud-brick and timber building has a gorgeous loft-style mezzanine bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake (about 50m away). The kitchen is fully equipped with hotplates, oven, microwave, kettle, fridge, toaster and all the utensils to go with it. There's a gas BBQ on the porch too. The TV and DVD player are old but do the job - this isn't a place to stay if all you want to do is watch TV. The bathroom has shower, basin and toilet. You also have undercover off-street parking and a private entrance. Inclusions: You have plenty of home made and local food which serves as your breakfast and morning/afternoon tea. Breakfast includes choice of cereals/muesli, home baked bread, multiple spreads (our favourite was the plum), fruit platter (including mango, peaches, banana, kiwi fruit, cherries...) tea/coffee and milk. Upon returning to your room after a day out, you'll be greeted with unbelievable treats ranging from raspberry banana bread (our favourite) to a cheese platter to croissants with jam and cream to home baked cookies. This was one of our highlights - coming back each afternoon and being surprised at a different treat each day. All towels and linen are included too (bring your own beach towel). Would we stay here again? Most DEFINITELY! We';; be recommending the Dragon's Lair to all our family and friends!"
