Description
The Beach House at Skenes Creek is a beautifully crafted, environmentally friendly 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house located on a fantastically elevated position opposite beautiful Skenes Creek beach, on the Great Ocean Road, just 5 kms to Apollo Bay.
The views are sublime. Sit on the huge entertaining deck and watch the ocean roll in through the gum trees. Every room has a view, you can see the ocean from both bedrooms. Relax curling up on the sofa with a good book next to the wood fire.
The state of the art modern kitchen adjoins the open plan dining and sitting room on the upper level, and huge doors open out onto the deck. There is a double sofa bed on this level which sleeps 2 people
whilst the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs.
Downstairs, there a queen size master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a spa bath and seperate shower. The twin room which has 2 single beds has easy access to the family bathroom which has a bath and shower.
Linen is available on request for a small additional charge. If you bring your own linen, all beds have pillows and doonas.
Location, location, location
This part of the Great Ocean Rd is simply stunning. You can organise beach horse rides on the neighbouring beach, explore Apollo Bay with it's great shops and cafes, charter a deep sea fishing boat, play a round or 2 of golf, whale watch and of course visit the world famous 12 Apostles which are just down the road. Scenic helicopter flights can be arranged.
Combined with the Treehouse next door, you can sleep 12 in splendid comfort with all your own facilities and decks on both properties large enough for group entertaining. We also have 3 other properties close by, Willowhaven, Surfbreaker and Beach Gum.

We all absolutely loved this house! It was so modern and immaculately clean. What they dont tell you is that they do have a TV, Radio, hairdryer, Iron with ironing board, hoover, up to date magazines to read, a real fire ready to be lit with wood inside, and spare if you need it, pots/pans/cups/plates/cutlery if you need it, and all you need for a really comfortable stay. there was even tea/coffee and sugar. All you needed to bring was basic linen. The only thing is we couldn't really leave our dog to roam in the garden without watching him in case he ran off, but he loved chilling out on the veranda on his own watching the beach and people walk by. Would definitely come back!!! Only a short 10 minute drive to Apollo Bay, and Chris's restaurant at the top of the hill (10 minute drive again) was awesome!!! Thanks for giving such a luxurious break. The spa bath was fun too, very relaxing. And well impressed with how cool and funky it all was! thanks again!!! Sarah, David and Cooper (our doggie!) :o)

This property was fabulous and in a wonderful location. The views were serene and it was a great break from the city for me. I had great fun cooking up a storm in the kitchen, the house has great facilities and could comfortably have 6 in the place. Very short drive to Apollo Bay for the shops, but very close to fairly deserted beaches that are beautiful, peaceful and fun all at the same time. Genevieve
