Description

The Beach House at Skenes Creek (formerly called the Deckhouse) is a beautifully crafted, environmentally friendly 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house located on a fantastically elevated position opposite Skenes Creek beach, on the great ocean road, 5 kms to Apollo Bay. It is next door to our other property called the Treehouse, both can be booked at the same time, sleeping 8 people between them and ideal for joint family holidays but with your own space and facilities

The views are sublime. Sit on the huge entertaining deck and watch the ocean roll in through the gum trees. Every room has a view, you can see the ocean from both bedrooms.

The state of the art modern kitchen adjoins the open plan dining and sitting room with a wood fire on the upper level, whilst the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, there is an ensuite to the master bedrooom and a queen size bed. The twin room has 2 singles which can be joined to make a king bed.

Linen and breakfast provisions are available on request for a small additional charge. If you bring your own linen, all beds have pillows and doonas.

Location, location, location

This part of the Great Ocean Rd is simply stunning. You can organise beach horse rides on the neighbouring beach, explore Apollo Bay with it's great shops and cafes, charter a deep sea fishing boat, play a round or 2 of golf, whale watch and of course visit the world famous 12 Apostles which are just down the road. Scenic helicopter flights can be arranged.

Great for larger groups

Combined with the Treehouse next door, you can sleep 12 in splendid comfort with all your own facilities and decks on both properties large enough for group entertaining. We also have 3 other properties close by, Willowhaven, Sandy Blue and Beach Gum.
