"Passing Clouds" is the perfect retreat for couples or families.

Nestled amongst the dunes of Cape Liptrap Coastal Reserve, this charming cottage offers private gate access to Venus Bay's famous patrolled beach number one, via the national park and beautiful undulating dunes.

From romantic walks, to playing on the safe patrolled beaches, or listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach at high tide from the rear deck, or even sitting in front of the open fire in winter - you will love it here as much as we do!

The shops and cafe's at Venus Bay are within a couple of minutes walking distance so you can get the morning paper, enjoy a nice meal, catch up with friends at a bar or even catch some live music at the right time of year.

Some features of the property

An open plan lounge and dining area with cathedral ceilings and fire place create a wonderful space for entertaining or relaxing.

A 63cm television, DVD player, stereo and a playstation 2, (with loads of DVD's, CD's and games) along with an assortment of board games and outdoor games will keep you and the kids well and truly entertained. There are even a few boogie boards for you to use.

If quiet time is more your thing, there is a large collection of fiction & non-fiction books - so curl up in front of the fire and enjoy.

The property has three bedrooms (all with built in robes) and sleeps up to seven people.

Sleeping options include: a queen sized bed in the master bedroom; a bunk with double bed at the bottom and single bed at the top in bedroom two; and a double bed (a sofa bed, which will be made up for you on arrival) in bedroom three. Linen and bath towels can be provided for a small fee.

There is a separate bathroom and toilet, and a laundry with a washing machine - and an iron and ironing board if you feel so inclined. An evaporative cooler and pedestal fan are also available.

The kitchen is modern with all the utensils you could possibly need to create a feast. There is a microwave oven, a large refrigerator, a large gas BBQ, as well as a Webber.

The large decking area in the backyard has ample outdoor furniture to enjoy a meal while you enjoy the sea air amid the seclusion of the sand dunes.

The property has a large, level backyard and is fully fenced, so dogs can play outside, but there is also a small secure dog run if you prefer to roam the surrounding areas without the pooches for a day.

A mix of country style and antique furniture complete the relaxed feel of the cottage for your stay - relax and enjoy.

Venus Bay - the perfect escape!

Venus Bay is a picturesque seaside town nestled in vegetated sand dunes that back onto the wild waters and golden sands of the Bass Strait coastline as well as the safe, sheltered beaches of the Inlet.

In 1997, the coastline from Venus Bay to Cape Liptrap was declared a Coastal Park and today offers visitors the chance to see such unique historic sights as the old lighthouse, as well as viewing native Australian plants and wildlife in a truly natural habitat.

The township is quiet, peaceful and friendly and the tranquil surrounds provide an absolute mecca for those seeking any of the following:

- The state's longest sand spit at Anderson Inlet, where you can find safe, sheltered beaches ideal for families and swimming;
- Excellent surfing and windsurfing along the five superb surf beaches that are patrolled by surf lifesavers in the summer months;
- The beautiful coastline with a coastal walk;
- River, surf and estuary fishing;
- Viewing kangaroos grazing near mangrove flats along tranquil Anderson Inlet;
- Taking a self-guided bushwalk among the tea-tree at Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and see the historic lighthouse;
- Strolling along the Tarwin Lower boardwalk, which follows the Tarwin River, a popular spot for fishing;
- Viewing abundant bird life and mangroves at Bald Hill wetlands.
