  • "This was our third and longest visit. Almost three weeks but still about six weeks too short. Just a fabulously comfortable cottage with great amenities. We love it and the two pups (now 3 years old) do also. That is why we keep coming back.. Next to the boat ramp the new pontoon provides a good fishing platform. Quite a few fish caught off it whilst we were there. We (mainly Hilary) caught ourselves some nice feeds of flathead and bream in the estuary fishing from our tinnie. A wonderful quiet position with lots to see and do in the area. Very nice being able to watch the tides come and go with good visibility from the home across the well maintained park opposite. The Shalom Markets in Bundy every Sunday are worth a look and the Bundy RSL has a great breakfast on Sunday also. Can highly recommend Grunsky's on the River. Fresh seafood and a cosmopolitan menu with river views.. The front garden at "Riverview" is very pretty and with some bread and honey in the feeder we soon had the happy gang of Rainbow Lorikeets, Pale headed Rosellas, Cockatiels, Noisy Miners, Pied Butcherbirds, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and Magpies feeding regularly. Once again enjoyed the very fine company and hospitality of Graham and Jenny with whom we had a nice "last night" meal at the Innes Park Golf Club. Excellent value at $15.00 for two courses and coffee and even live entertainment on the Friday night. Very hard to leave and return home. It is quite obvious to us that every effort is being made by Shane and the crew to make life comfortable for those fortunate enough to stay at "Riverview". On each visit we have seen improvements to what was already a very good product. Will we be back?.. You bet!! P.S. We aren't golfers but reading the visitor's book it would seem that previous visitors had a great time golfing. A first "hole in one" certainly made the stay even more memorable for someone.."

  • "Just want to express our delight with your cottage in Riverview. It was packed with all the essentials and is in a super location! The yard was fully fenced with a high gate so our girls (dog variety!) couldn't jump over. The yard was secluded and out of the wind fully grassed and it had a hose to wash the sand from our feet. There was also heaps of room in the yard to park our trailer with bikes and kayaks and 4WD. The house was great - very clean - and your sofa was very comfy! The DVD collection was a bit limited to fishing, westerns and older movies, but we did find a few things to watch on the flat screen! The location was right across from the river - a long esplanade length with boat ramp and a number of other beach/river access points. Elliott Heads is only 7.5km away and within running distance and cycling distance (if you like that sort of thing!). Elliott Heads was beautiful! Recommended :)"

  • "This was our second stay at Riverview. Just as enjoyable as the first It was like coming home. The pups loved it and so did we. It was nice to spend some time with the excellent caretakers. We have been slow leaving this feedback. Felt obliged to after a recent (September) visit to Elliott Heads when we had to take vastly inferior accommodation. It was the only pet friendly available at the time. Fortunately we only needed a stay of two nights. Two weeks would have been unbearable. From now on it is Riverview or nothing for us."

  • "We had 3 wonderful nights. The house felt like a home away from home. Our dogs also had a great time in the huge secure back yard. We had some lovely walks in the park across the road, and by the water. Shame we didn't book for longer. A little disappointed that the BBQ was wood fired, which we didn't realise till we went to use it and there was no wood available. However, we will be back!!"

  • "Beaut tidy home. Great for pets. Very close to the ramp ( there are two ramps, the better one in our experience is the gravel one to the western end of the park), and just over the road to the sand flats. Bird life great. We enjoyed feeding the Rainbow Lorikeets and the Blue faced Honey Eaters a mixture of bread and honey twice a day and soon had over 15 coming for a feed.. The Butcher Birds got some meat. Had Pale Headed Rosellas, Noisy Miners and others visiting as well. With the bird calls at dawn it felt like home. Just great!! Graham and Jenny (the caretakers two doors away) were as welcoming and hospitable as you would expect. We will definitely keep in touch with them. Quality people indeed who are very happy to impart all the local knowledge. If you have some rain periods during your visit there is still plenty to amuse you and the entire family. A great range of books, dvd's on the big screen and games will ensure you are not bored indoors. The kitchen lacks nothing and you can cook up a feast. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We hope you do too. We were surprised at the thought that had gone into making sure most requirements were met. If we needed it... It was there! P.S. If short of supplies there is a store at Coral Cove that has a good range. Much closer than Bargara or Bundy. P.P.S. Lots of nice fat oysters to be taken from the rocks all around the foreshore at low tide. P.P. P. S. A nice long nature walk to be had from the western end of the park. Some sand fly repellent may be needed though as they can be thick in the early morning and evenings."
