LIVING AREAS
A large living/dining room opens on the deck. Here you will find comfy lounges wth lots; of cushions, plenty of reading material and board games. There is a TV, DVD, VCR, CD player and (a blast from the past!) a record player with lots of records!

The large timber deck overlooks the gums and has a gas barbecue.

ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME

Carrington Cottage is our pride and joy and we have nothing but the highest standards of comfort and cleanliness for ourselves and our guests.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with a brand new elecric stove, microwave and appliances. You'll find all your basics there - cooking oil, spices, paper towels, alfoil etc.

There are even marshmallows for your hot chocolate - which is supplied, of course.

Port and sherry are provided for that fireside sip.

The large bathroom has a full-size bath/shower, large vanity area and laundry facilities. The toilet is within the bathroom.

We like guests to regard Carrington Cottage as their 'home away from home' so we include lots of little extras to make your stay special.

Children love the path behind the cottage down through the bush to the creek.

WONDERFUL LOCATION

The cottage faces north-east and has lots of glass bringing in the delightful winter sun. It is very private, facing the valley and the gum trees. You can walk to all the village attractions in a few minutes:

** cafes and antique shops
** the famous Mt Vic Flicks showing the latest releases + more 'arty' films
** the historic Imperial Hotel with its beautiful leadlight-glass windows, coffee shop and bar beside the log fire
** Mt Victoria Park with its old-style gas lamps and children's playground is at the end of the avenue (150m).

The Zig Zag railway with its steam trains and Thomas the Tank Engine is 15 mins drive from the cottage.

Jenolan Caves is 1 hour's drive from the cottage

You can spend the day walking/shopping in the busier villages such as Blackheath and Leura then retreat to the tranquility of Mt Victoria at day's end. The best of both worlds!

  • "We found the cottage to really suit our needs. It was cosy inside and a great outlook made you feel you were right in the trees. Kitchen was very well stocked - just when you needed sauce, vinegar it was in the cupboard. Very pleasant time and it really felt like a home away from home. "
    Colleen, December 2011

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. It was all we could wish for and so much more. Thank you for all the little extras"
    Chris & Ian, November 2011

  • "Hi. Our group of four stayed at Carrington Cottage for a week in Nov 2010 while exploring the Blue Mountains. Carrington Cottage was clean, comfortable and central. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks for the hospitality!"
    Dave, January 2011

  • "Thank you Christine and Ray for a lovely stay. Everything we could ever need was in your lovely home for us to use. We really enjoyed using the fire to keep us warm. We had a very relaxing time"
    G, October 2010

  • "From the moment we walked in we all felt at home, the little extras left for us to enjoy made it extra special. The cottage, views and area are perfect for visiting the Blue Mountains area and coming "home" to rest by the log fire. Thank you both so very much."
    Tracy, October 2010

  • "we wanted for nothing is this great little cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean; wine and choccies were left out for us; there were lots of videos and dvds, board games. The woodfire AND gas heating made it all extremely cosy for us. A late checkout really topped it off!"
    jane, September 2010

  • ""If you want comfy, cosy 'feel at home' accommodation in the Blue Mountains then Carrington Cottage is a must. There is everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We loved the bottle of champagne and chocolate which greeted us on arrival. The quite extensive library of books, CD's/DVD's/video's (and old records!) kept us entertained as we sat around the log fire during our winter stay of five nights. We also found the information Christine and Ray have compiled about what to do and see in the mountains very helpful, particularly the mountain walks. This was not our first visit to Carrington Cottage. Will we go back? You betcha! Jennifer, John and Zoe." "
Jennifer, John and Zoe, July 2010

  • "Myself and 3 friends stayed here for 3 nights and found that the house was very well maintained and being located in Mt Victoria it is reasonably central to many of the Blue Mountains attractions. Despite being at the mountains in NSW's coldest 3 mornings on record for the last few decades the house was able to be kept at a comfortable temperature and there were plenty of blankets and electric blankets avaliable for sleeping. The owners and friendly and always willing to assist you in any way possible and I would recommend staying at this house for a small get away from the hussle of normal city life."
    Justin, July 2010

  • "Our group had a great time at Carringto cottage. Thanks for the wine, the chocolates....we wanted for nothing. we'll be back! "
    mark, July 2010

  • "A lovely, homely cottage on a long journey. The little extras were much appreciated."
