The train station (at the rear of the property) operates a ten minute turn around service to the city The Bus station provides a service to other areas throughout Melbourne. Driving to the city can be either by Beach Road (the scenic route) or Nepean Highway, either journey taking approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic.
The area around Hampton is best known for its sandy beaches, sailing venues, cycling paths, jogging tracks, golf courses ( Sandbelt region) and village atmosphere of its unique shopping precincts at Hampton (Hampton Street) Black Rock Village, Beaumaris (The Concourse) and Brighton, (Church Street). There is also a Direct Factory Outlet at Moorabbin and the largest Shopping Mall in the Southern Hemishere at Southland, Cheltenham. There are free BBQ's at selected spots along the beach and many children's play areas. One minute from the apartment is the Hampton Community Centre which provides many interesting events for the casual visitor, while guests with young children will love the close proximity of the Children's Play House and Toy Lending Library.
