Good old Seal Rocks. They say it’s the last Frontier. Some say it's heaven. It is...this new 3 bedroom luxury house is designed to maximise the beach side living of the Seal Rocks fishing village and is available for rent.
Architecturally designed by leading beach house designer Shane Blue (Bourne and Blue Architects), the house is as practical as it is beautiful. The house sleeps 8 and features 3 bedrooms configured as 1 x king bed and 2 x queen beds. The king bed also has two trundle beds suitable for children.
The house features a large modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas cooktop, large fridge and all the features required for easy holiday meal preparation.
Opposite the kitchen is a comfortable lounge room with wood fire place, plasma TV and DVD player. Wireless broadband internet is available for the whole house.
The dining area is accessed from the open plan kitchen and views the native bush surrounding the house through large 'floor to ceiling' windows. A long bench seat is ideal for reading in the winter sun.
The dining area expands onto the large courtyard via a 'rising glass door' providing seamless indoor/outdoor living. The courtyard includes outdoor sound system, BBQ, hammock, deck chairs and other outdoor furniture - perfect for summer fun. The large courtyard is surrounded by lawn and views onto the national park at the rear of the house. The kids will love the trampoline and kids toys.
A short walk away from the calm waters of Seal Rocks boat beach (perfect for kids), or 5 min drive to two of Australia’s best surfing beaches – Treachery and Lighthouse beaches.
See Dolphins (Daily – no kiddin’), crystal clear water, bush walks, sight see around Pacific Palms or just sloth around Macondo and do nothing.
Seal Rocks fishing village, around three hours drive north of Sydney remains unspoilt and virtually unchanged by time. Surrounded by Myall Lakes national park the area is known for its pristine beaches, fantastic fishing, spectacular diving, and breathtaking coastline. Seal Rocks is the perfect getaway.
Seal Rocks also provides easy access to the Great Lakes and scenic regional towns including Smiths Lake, Blueys Beach, Pacific Palms and Forster.
Booti Booti National Park is a short (15 minute) drive and is highly recommended. You can also arrange to go shark diving where you are collected from Boat Beach at Seal Rocks
Seal Rocks has some of the most pristine beaches in the world. There are 3 beaches less than 1km from the house (walking distance) and 2 other beaches within a 5 minute drive.
Boat Beach and Number 1 Beach are the nearest to the village and are great beaches for kids. Lighthouse and Treachery Beach are the main surf beaches although Number 1 also has waves in the right conditions. You can drive a 4WD onto both these beaches (although the National Parks is planning to close car access to Treachery).
Did I mention surfing? Well the best thing about Seal Rocks is that its on the end of a Peninsula. That means, whatever winds are thrown at you, you'll probably find somewhere good to get a wave and surf.
