Guest Reviews

  • "A lovely location. What a relaxing Easter break we had. Loch Sport has changed in 20 years, but still a lovely quiet place to relax."

  • "What a terrific place. Large enough to sleep 2 families. We found the place extremely clean and well equipped. The owners were great to deal with and even returned a beloved "blanky" to our home! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable home away from home getaway."

  • "This was a great property with plenty of space for nine people, had all the right facilities. Location was great just a minute walk to the lake and a short drive to the beach. We all really enjoyed our stay. "

  • "Great place with everything we needed. Really friendly owners and a nice spot to stay - would love to come back again. Thanks!"

  • "I have been a holiday maker at Loch Sport for 18 years and owned two properties there myself. My husband, a dedicated fisherman, and I took our 4 year old grandson and stayed at Cabarita 39 for a relaxing weekend. We were so impressed with not only the cleanliness of the house, the comfortable space that it offered but also the welcoming feel that it had. The glorious woodfire kept us warm and cosy at night and all the well-thought out conveniences in the house made it like a home away from home. We loved the house and its location so much that we certainly will be coming back. We'd like to thank the owners for their friendliness and thoughtfulness."

  • "This house is a very new, clean and well kept place that I would be proud to claim as my own. All items and conveniences you could possibly require for a family are there, and more. I was there for 7 days with children aged 6 and 2. Another couple with children aged 4 and 3 came down for two days. I would recommend this house to anyone who would respect it. The Kids loved the little walk (200m) to the beach on the lake. They had plenty of fun when they got there as well. All you have to do is take your own linen, fishing poles, food and a sense of fun. Wait and see how much your children love the sand hills on the 90 Mile beach after a King Tide. I Highly Recommend. "

  • "Thank you, thank you, thank you. We've just had the most magnificent weekend at your house and on the lake. Our friends were just as impressed with the house as we were the first time. We skied each day, including this morning until lunch time. How often is the entire lake glass? We've seen it three times in one weekend. We went to Paynesville on Saturday afternoon and Bunga Arm on Sunday afternoon. We'd planned to do Newlands Arm today, but there was no point with the water so good where we were. "

  • "Fantastically appointed house. Suited our 2 families extremely well. We were most comfortable on the hot over 40 degree days. Really close to the lake which is great, but unfortunately couldn't swim in the lake due to blue/green algae. We had babies and young children and didn't want to take any risks."

  • "We had a great stay at Cabarita 39. We had two families so the layout of the house with two bedrooms at each end and the loving space in the middle was perfect. It was also great to have so much space for our boat, bikes, surfboards and stuff. We'll be back!"
