Built in 1914 and relocated from Canterbury, this charming cottage takes full advantage of the magnificent views with 180 degrees of window. The private location and water frontage add to the feeling of being a million miles away. The quaint village of Rhyll is an easy walk along the foreshore and has all you really need for a relaxing weekend; general store and newsagent, don’t miss the bric-a-brac shop, fish and chips, a great pizza place, Temuku’s for the best breakfast ever, and elegant dining at the Foreshore restaurant. Tennis courts available in the park, if you are so inclined.

The generous master bedroom is truly a delight with its stain glass window, a full en-suite, wardrobe and chaise. The rest of the house is comprised of two additional bedrooms, a main bathroom, laundry, kitchen and an enormous open plan living area with 2 sets of French doors leading out onto the veranda. • "This was a totally tranquil location to welcome in 2008. Rhyll is a small inlet which means that it is the ideal place to escape the busier spots on the island whilst still being a short drive to all that Cowes has to offer. The house is a beautiful period property with so many original features to enjoy. Sea views abound from three sides and decked balconies on the main house and the sleepout make relaxing with a book, a friend, a glass of wine or a coffee very easy. Bedrooms are spacious and bright and the kitchen/family living space was more than big enough for 7 of us. The bonus for us travelling with grandparents was that the sleepout gave them some privacy. This additional space would suit older children perfectly too. Only thing to be aware of is on the days it topped 40 degrees the ceiling fan and electric floor fans were not able to keep the house cool. There is a great wood burner (not that we used it) but we would return there in the winter to enjoy some cosy, quiet evenings. Wonderful house, wonderful location. Purple Hen winery close by was a great find. Running and cycling tracks on the doorstep if you are so inclined. Island Foodstore in Cowes a favourite spot for coffee, lunch and divine take away food."
