Description

What is Yorulla?
Yorulla is a 3 bedroom handbuilt house on 140 private acres of stunning bushland, overlooking the Wollemi National Park. Whilst on your stay you will have complete privacy and peace as you have the whole property to yourself.

LATEST NEWS:
Our home has been featured on the front cover of the latest edition of Green Architecture Magazine. (September - November 2008)

Each of the 3 bedrooms have breathtaking views of our land and into the Wollemi National Park. The house has been built from recycled timber, doors and flooring to create a rustic feel:
-There is a beautiful big slow combustion fire to keep you very warm;
-Solar powered lights;
-Antique gas powered Kooka stove; and
-Gas heated hot water so you can have a hot bath in the antique claw foot bath overlooking the 140 acres of land!

Layout of the house
Downstairs there is a main bedroom with a queen sized bed, a second bedroom with a double sized bed and upstairs there is a loft with a double bed and three single mattresses. There is also a sofa that opens into a double bed on the verandah.

Check out our website for more information - google \'Beach House Therapies\' and once in the website \'beachhousetherapies\' dot com
look under the tab \'eco-retreat\'.

PLEASE NOTE: there is a 10km drive along a dirt road to get to the property, we don\'t recommend you take low slung cars, sports cars or small hatchback cars. ***If the weather or forecast weather is bad you need to take an AWD or 4WD vehicle.

Get away from the hectic pace of the city

The property is very peaceful and private with plenty of attention to detail - everything you need is there, except for all the modern electrical modcons. There are no power points so you can get yourself and you kids away from TV and DVDs for the weekend.

If you\'re worried about not having access to instant entertainment, we can guarantee that none of our many guests have once complained of boredom! To the contrary, they have come back from a weekend from Yorulla with the following comments:

\"I just wanted to pass on a massive thank you to yourself and Susan for allowing us to stay in your fabulous weekender! What an incredible job you have done! Our stay was absolute bliss. Our dogs had a blast! And particularly liked swimming in the dams to cool off.\"

\"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. We had the most amazing time away at your beautiful home on the hill. It was such a special place. We took kids and a little fluffy white city dog - and we all had a great time! The dog was renamed KUJO for the duration of the holiday, as Mandy just didnt seem to fit our new \"wild\" dog!!
We cant wait to go back again - this time without the kids.\"

Perfect for a romantic weekend or family holiday

There are plenty of books and board games, stunning walks and two dams to keep you entertained. Or just simply curl up in front of the fire, or lie on the hammock on the deck. This is a place to recharge your batteries and get back to the simplicity and peace of life!

The perfect place if you are looking to spend some \'quality time\' together for a romantic weekend away or a retreat for your family.

Due to the remote nature of the property we ask all guests to:
-Bring their own sheets and towels
-Leave the house in the condition you find it (it\'s not a hard house to clean)

  • "We loved being at Yorulla - it was a much needed and appreciated time away. You've done a wonderful job with the house. Absolutely loved the glorious view from the shower and looking out the french doors over the valley as we woke up in the morning. Our dog had a lovely time too - many swims and walkies."

  • "Superb place to unwind from all that society heaps upon you. I haven't felt so relaxed in the last 10 years as I did after a few days here. The dogs had a ball as well!"

  • "We had a wonderful time at Rural Retreat , it was a real Aussie adventure !...I do think you need a 4 wheel drive to get up there ,the road was very rough ,but having said that if you take it slow and careful it was Ok . The house is full of character and once you get to know all its little foibles eg: turning on the fridge ...hot water etc . its a lot of fun ! Its not a "luxury" type experience , its for people who like to get back to basics( for a little while ! )and enjoy some beautiful serene country ...our dog Toby loved it and we would certainly love to return one day !"
