Locality

Kestrel Downs is uniquely located on the narrow neck of the island enjoying a northern coastal outlook, yet only 2 km from the south coast. From the house gate the ocean to the north and south can be viewed. This hideaway looks out over a magnificent vista of waterways and islands and to the township of American River in the distance.

Exquisite Pennington Bay is just 2km from the front door. Experience the inspiration of its sweeping sandy beach backed by pristine dunes, its crashing surf or lazy summer breakers.

At low tide walk to the shores of Pelican Lagoon, a protected fish breeding sanctuary. Explore the unique estuarine environment with its community of aquatic birds and schools of stingrays splashing through the shallow waters.

Take a short drive to picturesque American River to eat out, recharge your supplies or launch your boat, or take a 10 minute trip to swim in the gentle waters of Island Beach.
