Picture yourself relaxing on Rockpool's big alfresco deck with
a panoramic view across the foreshore fringed with 100 year shady, Moreton Bay Fig trees. Watch boats returning home with the morning catch, children fishing from the jetty, couples strolling by and magnificant sunsets over the ocean at the close of the day.

Within a 2 minute walk are a country style bakery, newspapers, supermarket and tavern.

THE BEACH HOUSE

Rockpool is fully self contained with luxurious, comfortable furnishings which include a pebble rimmed spa and a fun beach shower in the garden to refresh after a day at the beach.

There are 4 fabulous, roomy bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with Moulton Brown accessories. 2 queensize beds, 1 double, 1 bunk with double on bottom and single on top, 4 singles and a trundle bed. Cloud-soft underlays, quality linen, doonas and thick towels are provided.

The generous living areas have expansive views through large glass windows over the whole marina and include a flat screen TV, DVD player, DVD's, CD Stereo and a large library of books and magazines for your enjoyment.
The kitchen is generously stocked with everything you need including a dishwasher, oven, microwave and servery window linked to the fabulous built-in bbq on the deck.

We are child friendly and and our rumpus room for the children and teenagers is very popular. They can romp on a big daybed piled with cushions and watch their own TV and DVD's. Included are bean bags, games, toys and children's books and table tennis for the older children!
A playground is located on the foreshore opposite the house. You are welcome to bring bikes, boogy boards and surfboards!
Cot & high chair provided.
Rockpools perimeter is fenced for added peace of mind.

Southerly's Tavern overlooks the Marina and fishing boat pens. Enjoy a beer in comfortable surroundings and wander safely home when you're ready (3 minutes!).
The Tavern serves excellent meals, the Port Store provides delicious Fish & Chips and there are a wide range of restaurants and take-away outlets in Dongara.

Rockpool Beach House sleeps up to 12 guests. Perfect for family groups, friends, your honeymoon or a romantic getaway.
Just bring food and beach towels!

We are located 4 hours drive north of Perth on the Coral Coast and are a perfect base to explore the wildflowers and Abrolhos Islands.


CORAL COAST ACTIVITIES
Experience the natural beauty of the magnificant wildflowers in the Mingenew Coalseam Park, aprox 40 minutes from Dongara. After good rains in spring, the landscape bursts alive with fragile pink and yellow everlasing flowers which transform the bush into a palette of spectacular colour.
August - October

Dongara's very popular 18 hole public Golf Course is nearby and has excellent grass greens and fairways.

Soft, silky sand beaches and one of the few places in Australia where you can drive your own vehicle on the beach!
Fun for the family with 4x4 trails through the sand dunes.

Fishing? Where do we start?! Beach fish for mackerel & tailor. Bring your dinghy or boat and drop a line in pristine waters for succulent dhufish, groper or snapper. (We have plenty of room in the yard and a new boat ramp is conveniently located opposite the beach house!).
Alternatively try your luck catching a delicious feed of blue manner crabs off the jetty opposite. This is a great activity for the children! You are welcome to borrow Rockpool's crab nets.

Awesome sand dunes, sand boarding, new Skateboard park and BMX trail is located nearby. Incredible in the evening with the Indian Ocean as your backdrop.

Indulge yourself with a pampering at The Manse Retreat. Beauty, therapy and massage. Wonderful!

Monthly weekend market in the Peppermint ringed grounds of the historic, Old Priory Lodge.

Wine tasting and cellar sales at Irwin River Vineyard. Also set the taste buds ringing with a visit to Silverdale Olive Farm.

Spend a fascinating day on the ocean aboard a working professional Rock Lobster boat.

Meet the Western Rock Lobster fishing fleet down at the jetty and watch the days catch being unloaded. The WA Rock Lobster Fishery was awarded the inaugural Marine Stewardship Certification for Sustainable Fishing in Brussels 2000. 15 November - 30 June.

Take a leisurely 1.6km walk through the town on the Heritage Trail and see 28 heritage listed buildings.

Black swans, pelicans and numerous water birds make their home in the sheltered estuary of the Irwin River mouth.

Charter a boat and head for the wild and remote Abrolhos Islands, site of the mutinous Dutch East India Batavia wreck and unique home to a working fishing fleet and their families for 3 months of the year.

Shine Aviation and Prestige Helicoptors will give you a birds eye view of this spectacular archipelago of 122 islands, fringing reefs and atolls. The day tours are a nature lovers dream with abundant sea life, maritime history, birds and seal colonies.
