Our Location
In the lower Hunter Valley, 2 hours drive from Sydney and just 45 minutes from Newcastle Airport. Set in the prime rural valley known as Lamb's valley, just over the historic Luskintyre bridge, 5 minutes north of Lochinvar. Go through Maitland and turn right off the New England Highway after the pub in Lochinvar. We overlook Tranquil Vale Vineyard and are minutes away from the Lovedale wineries and 20 minutes from Pokolbin. Wyndham Estate is just across the river.

Our Attractions

Tranquil Vistas is the location of El Prado Alpacas, one of the leading alpaca breeders in the Hunter and Central Coast region. Relax and enjoy watching the alpacas graze just outside your window or take a stroll along the many laneways in the property and see them close up. Engage in a more personal interaction with the alpacas at feeding time each morning. Observe the wide variety of domesticated and wild water fowl (ducks, geese, black swans, pelicans and more) that reside on the large lakes of Tranquil Vistas.

Visit the many well known vineyards and restaurants not to mention golf courses (at last count 6) within 20 minutes drive of the farm. The quiet rural roads are ideal for bicycling and walking. Other nearby attractions include Hot Air Ballooning, the magnificent Hunter Valley Gardens, historic Morpeth, Newcastle, Nobby's, Lake Macquarie as well as Port Stephens and Nelson Bay. The Farmstay is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from the major shopping centre at Rutherford.

El Prado Farmstay provides ideal accommodation for small groups (2 to 4 couples) attending any of the international quality concerts held regularly in the lower Hunter vineyard region.

El Prado Farmstay is also suited to the couple who just wishes to experience solitude and quietness at night, away from the mad rush of the city.

Our Features

El Prado Farmstay is a luxury 4 bedroom home containing 2 queen beds and 2 double beds. The Farmstay will comfortably accommodate 4 couples. There are 2 bathrooms and toilets. El Prado Farmstay has ducted air-conditioning throughout for your comfort in summer or winter. There are also quiet ceiling fans in each bedroom.

Spacious (10 foot ceilings), clean, living areas which include a bar area, a large dining table which seats 8 people and a well equipped kitchen make for easy living. You can relax with your friends and family with a game of pool or snooker on the 9 foot Billiard table. A modern sound system and plasma TV compliment the scene. The total living area both inside and under cover outside is very spacious.

With a glass of wine in hand from Tranquil Vale vineyard just down the road , enjoy nibbles on the back verandah surrounded by garden or a barbeque in the screened outdoor area overlooking the alpaca paddocks and adjacent vineyards.

To ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay, all linen and towels are provided.
