Cooinda Cottage (Aboriginal for \"Happy Place\") is located in a private corner of our farm property in a secluded valley, 8-10 minutes from Kenilworth township. Recently completed, the cottage offers a modern open floor plan, with new kitchen and bathroom and separate sunroom, with views down the valley. Sleeping facilities are in the open plan area and include one Queen-size bed, one double bed and three single beds, plus additional bedding if required.
Fresh local produce is supplied for breakfast - milk, bread, together with jams and our own fresh free-range eggs. Tea and coffee making and cooking facilities are provided, as well as your own BBQ area outside.
The cottage offers views down the valley and would suit a private getaway, or a family farm-stay with access to the farm animals and activities. The farm is operated as a retirement farm with its own citrus orchard and vegetable garden. The farm runs dairy cows, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens, ducks and geese. There are often newborn animals on the farm. Miniature horses are available for rides by young children.
Play equipment is provided in the secure yard for young children. Children are also welcome to help gather the eggs and watch the pig feeding each afternoon. Hands-on contact with the animals is encouraged under supervision.
Glenoak Farm is located in a quiet deadend valley surrounded by trees, and peace and quiet. Wild deer, wallabies, hares, and bush turkeys are often seen in the area, and the birds and kookaburras will serenade you. Wedgetail Eagles can be seen spiralling on the thermals.
Bring your bicycles and ride up the valley. Go bush-walking or picnicking in the nearby State Forests and National Parks. Go fishing, bring your canoe or kayak, or swim in the nearby Mary River. Horse riding and trail riding can be arranged in the area.
A fully-equipped gymnasium and Billiard Room are available on the farm for your use during your stay. A local masseur can be booked for private massages. Satellite TV and DVD player are provided. Satellite Internet access is also available.
\"Walli\" is Aboriginal for Wind - there is always a cooling Summer breeze in the valley.
Payment by EFT, cash or cheque accepted. No creditcard facility. A deposit of 50% will secure your booking.

PETS WELCOME – if well-behaved and controlled. You are invited to bring your dog\'s own bedding to set up in the Sunroom - two dog bed frames provided (all floors are tiled). The Cottage is located in its own paddock, DOG-FENCED and well-maintained. Because our animals are free-range on the farm, dogs must be on a lead when outside the cottage paddock. Other pets welcome with prior arrangement. Dog-shampooing facilities are available at no extra charge so you can take a clean dog home.

KENILWORTH & SURROUNDS - Things to do

Kenilworth is 20 minutes south-west of Eumundi in the Noosa hinterland, 40 minutes from Noosa, Maroochydore and the airport, and about 90 minutes by road from Brisbane. Eumundi Markets and other regional markets operate each weekend, and during the week.
Kenilworth is a delightful village offering two small grocery stores, art galleries, the Nepali craft shop, cafes, and the Kenilworth Cheese Factory (also selling wonderful yoghurts and ice-cream). The State Forests and National Parks with waterfalls offer many bushwalking and picnic areas, and wineries (Kenilworth Bluff) are located in the area.
Kenilworth is at the southern end of the Mary Valley tourist drive from Gympie (with detours to Imbil and Lake Borumba), and on the hinterland tourist drive to Mapleton and Montville and back through Maleny (don\'t miss the scenic loop to view the Glasshouse Mountains and Coast from above). Australia Zoo and other attractions are located in the Landsborough area below Maleny.
Visit the Markets, or go walking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or site-seeing ...... OR JUST RELAX ON THE FARM.
