Description

The Location
Cremorne Point is a peninsula of land located on the picturesque Lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour, separating Shell Cove from Mosman Bay. It is one of the city’s most prestigious and convenient locations.

Renowned for its stunning views across the world’s most beautiful harbour. An eight minute scenic ferry ride has you at Circular Quay, the gateway to Sydney’s CBD. Directly opposite is the Opera House , Fort Denison and the Royal Botanic Gardens, with views stretching from the Harbour Bridge in the west, to Vaucluse in the east.

A perfect setting to view the fireworks displays from the harbour and bridge, as well as the Sydney to Hobart Yacht races.

Sit and watch the ferries, watercabs, sailing and speed boats sail by your front door. You will also see huge ocean liners and massive tankers making their way in and out of the harbour.

Enjoy a picnic on the foreshore.

Enjoy one of the most scenic foreshore walks in Sydney from Cremorne Point to Mosman Bay.

Why would you want to stay anywhere else?

The Apartment

Walk up a couple of steps from the front lawn and you can enter the apartment through a private door into the dining and sitting rooms, which have stunning views of the Harbour including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. Dine at night with the city and harbour lights as your backdrop.

The apartment is on the ground floor of a block of seven. It occupies the whole width of the building and thus has no immediate neighbour.

It has its own private lawn bordering Cremorne Point Reserve. Beyond the Reserve is the harbour foreshore, with sensational uninterrupted views to the Opera House, CBD and the Harbour Bridge.

The Accommodation

A lovely spacious two bedroom apartment, with built in robes, which sleeps four comfortably, and provides expansive open plan living, with high ceilings enhanced by sandstone feature walls.

Main bedroom has a television/ DVD and CD player.

Ultra modern equipped kitchen.

Stunning marble bathroom with spa.

A 2nd half bathroom has washbasin and toilet. This room doubles as the laundry, with an automatic washing machine and a dryer.

There is a second large sitting room that opens off another entrance.

All linen and towels are supplied.

Just Outside

Just outside the apartment is Cremorne Point Reserve, which has one of the best scenic walks in the world. Take the footpath and head south-east.

After two minutes you will be at the MacCallum Pool, a 22 metre pool that overlooks the harbour. This is a popular swimming location that started out as a rock pool created by the local residents to form a safe harbour swimming hole. The pool dates back to the nineteen-twenties and has been restored in keeping with this heritage. The unique waterside timber deck is an unparalleled sunbathing spot.

Look back and admire the spectacular panoramic view of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. The Royal Botanic Gardens can also be seen adjacent to and to the east of the Opera House.

Continue along the foreshore walk for another five minutes and you are at the Cremorne Point Wharf. From here ferries run every half-hour to and from the city and round the point to Mosman Bay.

Another five minutes in the same direction will get you to the lighthouse on Robertson’s Point, the extreme end of Cremorne Point. The view of the harbour from here extends around three hundred degrees, a wonderful vantage point for watching the yacht races and all the life of the busy harbour.

Head along the eastern foreshore of Cremorne Point and time will be forgotten. There are too many things to look at: the shipyard; the boats at their moorings; the old houses;
the gardens; the whole of Mosman Bay.

Past the Rowers Club- or stop for a drink and meal- and you will see the boats at the marina and then Mosman Wharf. Have a coffee there and catch the ferry back!

Local Transport

Ferries run between Cremorne Point and Circular Quay every thirty minutes throughout the day and every forty-five minutes during the evening.

Circular Quay has a public transport hub that connects up the city’s trains, ferry and buses services.

Buses run from Cremorne Wharf , via Milson Road, to Neutral Bay Wharf, via the Military Road restaurant strip.

If you prefer to drive, the city’s system of motorways and tunnels link in a short distance from Cremorne Point.

  • "The Cremorne Point Apartment was everything we hoped for and more. The view was the postcard we were expecting. The access to the ferry was amazing. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The only thing missing were some beach towels for travelers coming from long distances. However, we left 4 new ones, so now the apartment should have everything you need!"

  • "Some years ago, we stayed at a serviced apartment in McMahon's Point and had a wonderful view of Sydney Harbour Bridge. This time we decided on a full view of the Opera House and this apartment at Cremone Point gave us an unobstructed view of the Opera House and the city. We spent all our time at the apartment staring out of the windows. It is indeed stunning and Sydney is at its best. It was a comfortable and happy week. A place we will not forget."

  • "Arched windows in the sitting room display the most glorious view, looking across the water (the Harbour) to the Opera House. You step out of the door to a park going down to the water, edged by flowers. It has a footpath running through it, which we took for an easy stroll to the native Gardens at the end of the point. We also had a very pleasant picnic by the waterside just a few steps from the apartment, under a shady tree. The apartment is very tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and all you could need. Jenny was a delight to deal with, and we felt like valued friends rather than paying guests. We'd like to go again. We highly recommend this apartment. You'll be delighted. You couldn't find a better position."

  • "Cannot fault it ! Spectacular location and very convenient to the City ferry. Pictures are accurate and there are two good sized double-bedrooms and a laundry room. We travelled in from the UK and found ourselves waking up quite early due to the time difference - there are few better sunrises to wake up to than the view from this flat !"

  • "We had the most wonderful time staying in this apartment. The location is superb, being a short stroll to the ferry into the CBD. The view from the living area is magnificent - simply breathtaking. The apartment is tastefully furnished with pretty much everything you need to get by. We are certainly going to come back and stay at this very special property."

  • "Spent two weeks over Easter to celebrate our Silver Wedding. Can't think of a more perfect spot to spend a special holiday. The location is awesome; most mornings we joined the locals in a walk around Cremorne Point then breakfasted taking in the unsurpassed view of the Opera House, what a start to the day. You really have the best of both worlds; the peace and beauty of the nature reserve yet 10 mins on the ferry and you are in the hustle and bustle of the city, five minutes the other way and the food in Cremornes restaurants and takeaways is fantastic. We took great advantage of the weekly travel pass with frequent trips to Manly and Bondi on both ferries and buses. Even ventured as far as Wollongong to see where our son had studied for a year. Although I have to say it was the slowest train in the world. Worth it though to be on a beautiful deserted beach. All in all a memorable holiday made even more so by the help and advice given to us by Jenny, she couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Hope one day to return!"

  • "My husband (a native Australian) and I were returning to Sydney for holidays, for the first time in 10 years from the US. We were delighted to finally be able to reconnect with family in the area and spend some quality time in Sydney. I spent weeks searching the Internet for the perfect location for our stay. We wanted to be centrally located to all that Sydney had to offer, as well as have easy transport and access to our Aussie family residing throughout the Sydney metroplex. We settled on Cremorne primarily because of the description of the Cremorne Point Reserve and the foreshore walk. We wanted accomodation in a less congested location than places offered in Sydney center, yet we desired the spectacular views and quick transport to various harbor locations. This apartment was PERFECT and the location was everything that we could have dreamed for. The photos on the website, although very nice- can't possibly provide you with a complete array of the sensational views offered, in the quite, peaceful and upscale location of this well appointed apartment. The ground floor location- with the foreshore walk just outside the door, made it possible to to access and enjoy the beautiful scenery, without limitation. The ferry system was terrific and purchasing the "unlimited pass" for the ferry/trains/buses for the week, was a cost savings "plus". If we ever have an opportunity to return to Sydney again, we will make Cremorne Point our focus. Even our Australian family members were in awe over the beauty of this area of Sydney and the quality of the accomodation we had. We thank Jenny, the owner, for sharing her beautiful apartment."

  • "We had a fabulous holiday in Sydney with the Cremorne Point apartment exceededing my expectations and the views were fantastic! My husband caught the ferry to work and was in the city within minutes while I enjoyed sunbathing on the lawn by the harbour. Would be a perfect spot for watching the New Year fireworks. Highly Recommended! "
