LOCH SPORT FOR THE PERFECT HOLIDAY!
Loch Sport is nestled on a secluded peninsula on the southern shore of Lake Victoria. Just one body of water in the most extensive lake system in Australia, known as the Gippsland Lakes. The Gippsland Lakes region has been referred to as Victoria's Riviera. The district is renowned for its temperate weather, generally being warmer in winter and cooler in summer than Melbourne. What's more Loch Sport boasts the best access to the Gippsland Lakes, PLUS the 90 Mile Ocean Beach, of all the townships dotting the Lakes system.
Wildlife abounds in front yards throughout Loch Sport. On any given evening you can spot mobs of kangaroos and herds of deer helping to keep the grass on the golf course at a manageable height. Also keep an eye out for koalas in trees and echidnas on the ground. Not to mention wallabies, wombats, emus, and a variety of possums. While the diversity of Australian birdlife is simply astonishing. And anyone on the balcony with a keen eye might spot the pod of local Dolphins in Lake Victoria. Loch Sport is certainly the place to chill out, relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE IN LOCH SPORT
Loch Sport is the perfect venue for water based holiday activities - from windsurfing, sailing, cruising, sea kayaking, water skiing, fishing (lake, jetty or ocean) or just paddling or lazing on the beach. If you're into long walks or bike rides through tranquil bush walking tracks then this is the place for you. If you have a boat there are several launching ramps and it's only 20 or 30 minutes to Paynesville, Raymond Island, Picnic Arm, Duck Arm, Rotamah Island or Ocean Grange. Or you may just like to jump in the car, take the short drive down to Sperm Whale Head in the Lakes National Park and enjoy the free BBQ facilities.
Within the township you have the Loch Sport Hotel, Loch Sport Marina, Supermarket & Bottle Shop and Bakery. There is also a great RSL, General Store, Take Away Food Shop, Tennis Courts, Bowls Club, Golf Course, Mini Golf and Boat Club.

We stayed at Hilltop Haven over the Easter break 2013. Absolutely lovely house, spectacular views. House was lovely and clean, walking distance to everything. Two zone living, grown ups upstairs, kids downstairs = a peaceful holiday. Highly recommended.

Perfect house for a getaway when you have a big group.
We had six adults, two toddlers and a dog.
The adults enjoyed the spacious well equipped kitchen with everything needed for making delicious meals, the big bbq, the up to date appliances and the built in gate at the top of the stairs to stop toddlers from hurting themselves. The big tables that accommodate everyone both inside and out would make this an outstanding property for a crafty getaway lots of room for sewing machines etc. To top it all of the views over the lake provide instant relaxation and interest as the weather changes. The friendly locals and well stocked local store and bakery made necessary resupplies a breeze.
The toddlers enjoyed the short walk to the lake front, where sandcastles and paddling could be had. The short drive to the beach for magical shell collecting and wave chasing and the animal visitors to the deck in the form of bossy magpies and talkative kookaburras.
The dog enjoyed the upstairs and downstairs enclosed verandahs for his safety and the big fenced back yard.

WOW, what an amazing place to stay and to escape from the hectic pace of daily life. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to relax and unwind. The house was extremely comfortable and well appointed and views from the balcony were mesmerizing. And when we weren't out walking, swimming and fishing the large variety of dvds and magazines provided kept everyone entertained. Our dog loved staying at Hilltop Haven too. He especially loved lazing about on the balcony enjoying the peace and sunshine.

We had a lovely stay at Hilltop Haven. The view is better than the photos and you are up high to catch the breezes, although the house is well equipped with shady verandahs. Our dog loved the beaches and bike rides. We were able to cook up a fantastic pre christmas dinner in the very well equipped kitchen for our family of ten.

Wow what a view, we had the most relaxing wonderful time at Hilltop and would highly recommend this fantastic holiday accommodation. We drove from Adelaide and it was a long drive but well worth it, prepare yourselves for the sunsets they are simply amazing. The house itself was beautiful, had everything you could possibly want, so neat and tidy. Our little dog Link also enjoyed his stay in complete luxury. We had an amazing stay at Hilltop Haven - the view is even more amazing than the pictures and the house was incredibly neat, tidy and cosy too. The fireplace easily warmed the upper floor and the new kitchen appliances were great to use. The beach was lovely and so was the lake, walking distance away.

Lovely spacious house with 2 decks. The upper deck has a superb view of Lake Victoria and beautiful sunsets. One of the bedrooms had a great ensuite. Well-appointed kitchen (including blender and juicer) and dining area. Days filled with walks on the 90 mile beach (causeway close by), Lakes National Park and day trip to Buchan caves and Lakes Entrance. Lots of wide selection of current magazines and DVDs. The weather was milder than Melbourne and we didn't have to light the fire at all. We had a fantastic time and our dog loved his home away from home. Thank you Trevor.

This is our second visit to Hilltop Haven and we can honestly say, the second was as good as the first. The house has a restful ambience which just forces you to enjoy it. To be able to take in that breathtaking view all through the day is a tonic. I want to thank and congratulate Trevor the owner of Hill Top Haven for and on a loveley well equiped, well kept house, outstanding setting with unbeatable views. I enjoyed strolls early morning watching the sun rise and late at night along the edges of the lake (and sea) bathed in a billion stars, reterning to Hill Top Haven to sit with a good red roaring fire and million dollar view. local aminietes are great too, a very relaxing weekend felt like a weeks vacation. As you enter the property for the first time and open the curtains, the 'wow' factor of the vista before you is amazing. This alone made the holiday worthwhile. Then add to this all the amenities you could desire and our break at Hilltop was perfect. It was great to have 'quality' TV, DVD & CD players, which all worked well, which can be somewhat unusual in holiday lets. We found Loch Sport enchanting and the Lake Victoria and 90 Mile Beach walks superb. All in all thankyou for providing a place to have a satisfying holiday.

My husband myself and our 2 dogs had a wonderful stay at Hilltop Haven. Was a wonderful view from the deck but would have loved a couple of loungers to lie out on while drinking my wine and relaxing reading our books.
Other than that was very comfortable and would reccommend to anyone wanting a relaxing time away from hustle and bustle. We will return.

This holiday house is in the perfect spot -walking distance to everything in Loch Sport, and the balcony is great for feeding the birds and the view is 100%. Our kids felt safe and at home in this beautiful home with great facilities and comforts provided. The house was very comfortable and clean. The views from the balcony were spectacular as were the dolphins swimming by. The friendly kookaburra visited a couple of times. The dogs loved the walks and the endless swims in the lake and ninety mile beach. They even slept in the kennel provided. A very peaceful and restful stay that was enjoyed by everyone. Would visit again.

Our holiday at Lock Sport was enriched by staying at "Hilltop Haven", a most comfortable home. The kitchen was well set up for those of us who like to cook, and the comfortable recliner lounge chairs in the living room gave the best seats in the house for the wonderful views!

Amazing place for the price.
Perfect place for a group of people who wants to get away from their stressful life. The arrangement of the house creates a very cozy enviroment.
Big kitchen and fridge with a very large and square dining table.

A haven indeed! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although we were aware the house had water views, we didn't realise just how spectacular the views would be. Take your binoculars!
Loads of space in bedrooms and living areas and the floor plan allowed for easy home-time when we were not at the beach. Suited our requirements perfectly. Our only regret was that we were not able to stay longer. Wish we had more time to appreciate the venue as the time went too quickly. Really helpful owners with very clear and informative directions. We will definitely be booking again next year.

A large modern comfy house with genuine panoramic views over the lake and mountains. Saw some spectacular sunsets from the upstairs balcony. Wood stove provides lots of cosy heat during winter. House was clean and well maintained throughout. Best dog friendly accommodation we've stayed at.
