Opened in 1997, the Four Star Peninsula Riverside Serviced Apartments are situated right on the picturesque South Perth foreshore, overlooking the beautiful Swan River and the stunning Perth City skyline. 71 one and two bedroom, Riverview, Standard and Courtyard Apartments are set in lush, landscaped gardens, a few minutes walk from an array of restaurants, shops, supermarket, banks, medical centre and Post Office. It is only a few minutes walk to the ferry across to Perth, and a 10 minute walk to the Perth Zoo.
All apartments have an equipped kitchen, dining/lounge and separate bedroom The ensuite bathroom is off the main bedroom in all configurations. All crockery, cutlery and linen are provided, as are an inroom safe, iron and ironing board, FREE FOXTEL - 6 CHANNELS, teletext TV, reverse cycle airconditioning, direct dial telephone and modem point. Apartments are serviced three times a week, there is a Guest Laundry on site, and also a daily Dry cleaning service.
From the International Airport:
Travel North along the Tonkin Highway, turn left into Great Eastern Highway and travel West towards the CBD. Proceed into Canning Highway, turn right into Mill Point Road, right into Mends Street and left into South Perth Esplanade. The Peninsula is on the left, between the Mends Street Jetty and the Narrows Bridge
From the Domestic Airport to The Peninsula:
It takes about 20 minutes. Travel along Great Eastern Highway and proceed as above.
Perth City Centre to The Peninsula - by Ferry:
Take the ferry from Barrack Street Jetty and travel across to the opposite jetty at Mends Street. It takes about 5 minutes. Walk 100 metres to The Peninsula.
Perth City Centre to The Peninsula - by car:
Proceed to Kwinana Freeway (Freeway South), and take the Mill Point road exit just over the Narrows Bridge. Turn left into Mends Street and left into South Perth Esplanade.
The Peninsula is in an ideal location, a few minutes walk from a 5 minute ferry ride to the Barrack Street Jetty in the CBD, and all the Ferries to Rottnest, Fremantle and the wineries.
The free innercity transport bus (CAT) links with the ferry, providing free transport all day to the city, and to the Perth Railway Station, and to two other free buses which access other attractions around the city.
Free barbecues, a covered playground, water sports, golf courses and a 10 km walk path around the river are all minutes away.
Curtin University is 5 minute drive, Murdoch University and the University of WA are a 10 minute drive, as are St John of God Hospitals in Subiaco and Murdoch, The Mount Hospital, QE2, Royal Perth Hospital, and Princess Margaret Hospital for children.
Shops, a supermarket, banks, Post Office, medical centre and restaurants are all located along Mends Street - about 3 minutes walk.
Burswood Casino is about 8 minutes by car.
