One hours drive from Adelaide and you feel like you are in the country but are at one of the most beautiful beaches. This house is homely, has a fully fenced in yard for your little children and dogs. The staircase has a gate with a lock on it for small children. In winter it has the most wonderful open fire which fills the room with heat like no other. In summer a wonderful deck with BBQ and outdoor setting, so you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets every night.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city in a very quiet peaceful suburb which is surpassed by none.
Please note, ALL ADULTS MUST BE 27 YEARS OR MORE TO RENT THIS HOME and verification must be shown and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The house has all modern facilities including, split system R/C air conditioner( with 2 hour timer), dishwasher, separate freezer, microwave, oven, 2 fridges, electric oven, webber BBQ, 4 Burner Gas BBQ, ipod docking station/cd player, 2 televisions (with HD boxes analogue TV been switched off in area), 2 double bedrooms both with Queen Beds and one with a cot, 3 bunk beds (6 single beds) + pull out trundle bed
For long weekends, it is a minimum 3 nights rental, however, you are entitled to a late check out on the Monday being 4pm instead of the normal 10am checkout.
There are shops both in Normanville and Yankalilla, which are the closest towns to Carrickalinga, only 4kms drive or a lovely walk, with a paved path. There is a Mitre 10, Chemist, Foodland, Bakery, Pub and lots of take away food shops, plus more, to cover all your needs. There are a few local wineries which are always a pleasure to visit.
If you love fishing, I have caught, sand whiting, salmon, mullet, tommies and flathead from the beach. A short drive away is Second Valley which is a great spot for squidding.

We had a great time at this holiday house. So close to the beach, and with all the facilities you need.
Plenty of room for the kids and dog to play in the yard safely.
Great location, easy walk to the beach. On a night time walk you will encounter kangaroos galore - a great experience.

We booked this accommodation a year in advance and have looked forward to going there all year.
Having never been to Carrickalinga either we were keen...
The house is very homely and comfortable and perfectly set out. Kids downstairs in there own space with all amenities inc. second fridge, tv with dvd and vcr, etc.
And the lay out upstairs is excellent. Large windows and balcony to take in the amazing views all around you.
As well as a big backyard for kids and dog and a quick walk to the most beautiful beach.
A most relaxing and enjoyable Christmas for all.

A lovely comfortable place to stay. Just prior to arrival I became concerned that we had rented accomodation with stairs, (we have a 1yr old & a 2yr old), but I didn't have to worry, it had a gate at the top, yay! The property would easily accomodate a couple of families (I think I even saw a trundle under one of the bunk beds). The property has a huge laundry if planning to stay for a while and two wet areas. We didn't need to bring as much as we did as the house is fully stocked with crockery, utensils, games etc etc. (the deck is safe for children too). We had a relaxing time, but would have been more relaxing without the kids fighting! :)

Great place to stay for a large family! A quiet spot with a nice view, and only a short stroll from the beach. Also only a 5 minute drive away from good facilities - supermarket, hotel etc - so very convenient. We also visited some lovely local wineries for a bit of wine tasting. A relaxing and refreshing long weekend!

With my husband, 11 year old daughter and dog, werecently had the best week at Carrickalinga Beachhouse. Despite very wintry but atmospheric weather, the house was cosy with the lovely wood fire (once we got the knack) and very comfortable with spacious living areas, great sofas, highly functional kitchen, electric blankets and many generous extras. We had regular walks along the beautiful beach, visited nearby seaside towns, relaxed and cooked a few fabulous dinners, with produce sourced locally from the excellent Jetty Food Store. And the dog had a lovely time. Great to find a clean, hospitable rental property , safe for kids and pets in a terrific location close to one of SA's best beaches.

We had such a great winter weekend at the Carrickalinga beachouse. The house was fantastic for our group of 2 families and a dog. The upstairs living area is big and open to the kitchen which was great for cooking meals together, whilst keeping an eye on the open fireplace. The kids really enjoyed the bunk room and played in the garden for hours at a time. Our dog was secure in the fenced yard and also had a lovely time exploring the garden and on the beach, which is only a short stroll away. We will definetely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Beachhouse. The kids loved playing on the swings and kicking the footy in the huge yard. It was great to have the fire handy as it made for cosy nights when the weather turned coolish. We will definitely be back.

we had a wonderful time. the house is large enough to accommodate all the extended family & we had a fabulous xmas day with the kitchen coping very well with lots of cooks!
the only problem was that the decking was very exposed to the sun from mid day onwards, & we had to rig up extra shade to extend the umbrella.
highly recommended especially for a large group of people.
