Description

Only 300 m from beach and shops, ocean views from the wide veranda, under cover BBQ facilities on the deck, split system airconditioning in every room and broadband internet access. You will love the Tannum Sands Beach House and make it a regular holiday destination.

This accommodation appeals to families and business people who appreciate the comfort of quality and touches of luxury when away from home for work or holidays. The Tannum Sands Beach House is newly furnished and offers its guests a fully equipped modern kitchen, a large bath room, two separate living areas and four bedrooms to accommodate up to eight people.

Most of the time you will not need to use any airconditioning as the lovely sea-breezes make this beautifully appointed house more than comfortable. From the BBQ on the shady verandah you enjoy the ocean views and the lockable gate makes the veranda also a safe play area for little children.

Old Tannum is a family friendly area. The house is located in a lovely quiet street, just a mere 300 metres away from the beach and an easy stroll to the shopping centre with its large supermarket, speciality shops, restaurant and the friendly local pub with its wonderful panoramic ocean views. From the moment you arrive at the Tannum Sands Beach House, you will feel at home.

The lounge dining area and the separate rumpus room each have their own TV. Together with the 4 bedrooms there is plenty of space, even for large families. The modern kitchen has everything you would expect, including a dishwasher and coffee maker. There is also a complete picnic set, and we provide the little extras that you need every day, like aluminium foil, plastic wrap, freezer bags, just to name some. You can have a cup of tea or coffee as soon as you arrive and feel immediately at home.

The comfortable beds include 1 king, 2 queens and 2 singles; all linen, blankets, and towels for kitchen, bath and beach, are provided. The house is fully self contained, just bring your toiletries and perhaps your favourite CDs, DVDs, MP3s etc. Off-street parking accommodates say 3 cars and a boat. Fast broadband internet access is available at a small additional cost.

Pets are welcome, subject to prior arrangement. The fully enclosed backyard has a large grassy area and plenty of shelter to give your pet a great holiday too!

Tannum Sands and Boyne Island

Tannum Sands, on Queensland’s Central Coast has a wonderful climate all year round. It is close to the Barrier Reef, the beaches are great for kids and offer safe swimming throughout summer and winter. There are lots of things to do and enjoy. Be surprised!

The beaches, with views to nearby islands, are spectacular. The main beach is but a short stroll from the property and is patrolled during school holidays and summer weekends. Surf sports, particularly kite surfing is popular. There is water everywhere! The rivers, the inlets and Lake Awoonga are sensational for boating and make for a true fisherman’s paradise. Lake Awoonga is well stocked with barramundi and you can bring your own boat or choose a boat for hire on the lake and spend a family day on the water. The area is also tops for fishing and crabbing. The popular Boyne Tannum Hookup is held every year on the Queens Birthday long weekend, prizes include boats and accessories.

Wild Cattle Creek, also a short stroll away, is not really a creek but a sandy tidal channel separating Wild Cattle Island from the mainland. It is a brilliant spot for children as well as adults. At low tide there are lots of small pools and shallows for wading and exploring, and you can walk endlessly along the sandy beds, or cross over to the island and enjoy its long ocean beach, which more often than not you’ll have to yourself!

The wonderful Millennium Esplanade runs from Wild Cattle Creek right along the main beach. It has large grassy areas, picnic shelters, free gas barbecues and a childrens playground. A little further along is Canoe Point, a bushland reserve with picnic shelters, woodfired barbecues, nature trail and easy access to the beach. There are many other activities to enjoy such as surf sports, tennis, golf, kayaking, and cycling. The Coconet Classic Kite surfing competition is held at Easter each year, together with a Battle of the Bands, Skate/BMX/Inline and Scooter competitions. The popular Boyne Tannum Hookup is held annually on the Queen's Birthday long weekend

  • "Thanks, the house was just the best and everything we needed for a great weekend for us and our dog. It was a great base for our time in Tannum sand. Cheers "

  • "Lovely home packed with all the necessities of life. Fantastic verandah with ocean views. We walked, swam, beachcombed, ate, drank, and had a wonderful time. We appreciated the thoughtful touches e.g. laundry detergent, beach towels. We will recommend your beautiful holiday home to our friends and families. Thanks for everything. "
    Pat and Duncan, September 2008

  • "Dear Frits and Heather You have thought of everything. Our two week stay has been fabulous and the house is kitted out perfectly. Everything is so easy to keep clean. The picnic basket was a nice touch. Thank you again! To quote our English rellies, it is Paradise! Fiona and Michael :-)) "

  • "Superbly equipped accommodation. Very neat, clean and hospitable - surpasses all other holiday accommodation we have ever vacationed in. Really worth our while and money! The wine and other welcoming gifts are appreciated! "

  • "Our stay at Tannum was only short but made all the more enjoyable by the wonderful house we shared with our friends. Clean and roomy and very well equipped, our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer. Air conditioning in every room ensured comfort and the beds and pillows were the best we'd slept in away from home. Lovely welcoming gift in the fridge too!"

  • "We had a great stay. The house had really everything we could expect, great beds, spotlessly clean. Very spacious and comfortable inside with AC everywhere. A very high standard throughout, it is just beautiful. We enjoyed the BBQ on the verandah, ocean views and easy walk to the beach. We were sorry that we could only stay for such a short time, and will definately book again but for much longer next time! "

  • "Recently my wife and I, and our two sons, and our dog visited the Tannum Sands Beach Holiday House. On arrival there was a welcome pack with coffee, tea and other goodies, as well as a cold bottle of wine, and chilled water, very much appreciated after a long drive. The pictures don't really do this property justice, the main bedroom is huge, and the other bedrooms are all well appointed. There is a lounge with a large television, dvd player and stereo, and comfortable lounges. There is also a seperate rumpus room with another TV for the children, great idea. The kitchen has every appliance you will need, as well as items such as glad wrap, alfoil, freezer bags, and all of the other necessities you need when on holidays. The dwelling is in a very good state of repair, and we loved sitting on the balcony with views to the sea, whilst having a BBQ. If you have a dog, the rear yard, and front balcony are both secure, and our dog loved his stay. I highly recommend a stay at this property, and we will certainly return. "
