Experience Darwin\'s unique multiculturalism through the eyes of the local community: a casual wander to the local Nightcliff Markets, a paw-paw salad and a beef roti, and if you\'re lucky enough to be here at the time, the local SeaBreeze Festival.

You can explore the magnificent Nightcliff and Casuarina coastlines with it\'s glassy seas, sandstone cliffs, magnificent sunsets and sunrises, and intriguing caves and rock carvings. Or, going further afield, you\'re just one hour from Litchfield National Park, and 2 hours from Kakadu World Heritage Area.

But you don\'t need to go that far, there\'s plenty of activity nearby: jog along the spectacular Nightcliff foreshore, fish the many local haunts (all within walking distance, and fishing gear provided!), explore the beautiful Rapid Creek and Water Gardens, swim in the Nightcliff pool built into the cliff top overlooking the beautiful Arafura Sea, or maybe a game of tennis in the courts just across the road? (Yes, raquets provided).

We offer a wide range of properties, from stunning beachfront apartments on the Nightcliff foreshore, executive and short-stay accommodation in the CBD, through to fully equipped family homes and houses.

Leave the world a better place: our environmental statement.

Leaving the world a better place means consciously minimising the impact we have on our environment. At Darwin Holiday Apartments we do everything we can to minimise our - and your - carbon footprint. This includes:

Airconditioners: we have a program of replacement to refit all of our properties with the more energy efficient \'inverter\' airconditioners. Additionally all properties have plenty of natural ventilation and overhead fans, minimising the need for airconditioning.

Linen: we use cotton-rich quality linen for our guests comfort. All linen is home washed using biodegradable products, and sun-dried on outside open-air lines. We don\'t use any of the harsh chemicals or heat-drying that you\'ll get from commercial laundries. And we don\'t need to iron our sheets.

Pest control: We don\'t like creepy-crawlies just as much as the next person. Our properties are treated for bugs every six months, using the most naturally-based and least environmentally damaging products available.

Hot Water: There\'s no water shortage in Darwin, and there\'s no hot water shortage either! Most of our properties are fitted with solar hot water systems, meaning the water is heated by the sun and you can use as much of it as you want.

Bin liners: when you arrive you\'ll find your bin liner is a regular everyday plastic shopping bag - why throw them out and purchase bin liners when they serve the same purpose?

Recycling: Every property has two wheelie bins - the red-lid is for regular rubbish, and the yellow lid is for recyclables eg glass, plastic and paper. Please dispose of rubbish appropriately.

Cleaning: each apartment is thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, and all linen is replaced with freshly laundered linen. We use the most environmentally friendly cleaning products we can find, including eucalyptus oil, orange oil, and clove oil.
