Jemma's offers you a prime position on Smiths Lake right on the waters edge - with easy access to the waterfront - all very private, in a tranquil setting. The house overlooks the lake.
The 2 storey property is 5 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Upstairs is open plan living with fabulous views of the lake and surrounds from most areas. The modern kitchen is well equipped (complete with dishwasher, microwave, coffee/cappuccino maker, large sandwich maker and much more). A new 8 person wooden dining table with leather chairs allow you to take in the fantastic views.
There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 with Queen sized timber beds and 1 room with 2 single beds. Downstairs there is another queen bedroom with timber bed and a spacious bunk room which comfortably sleeps 6. Quality bedding is provided throughout. The bunk room has a TV, DVD and games for the kids. There is a new bathroom with separate toilet upstairs and a second bathroom downstairs. Washing machine and dryer are provided.
We have just added a new deck which overlooks the lake and offers 180 degrees of lake views. There is also significant glass to enjoy the views from most places inside. On the deck is a new 8 person outdoor setting and new BBQ.
Upstairs living also offers a very comfortable new lounge and new wide-screen plasma T.V connected to Austar/Foxtel.
There is a fireplace for cool winter nights. Portable electric heating is also provided.
A high chair and porta-cot are available for your use if required.
Downstairs there is a games room with TV also connected to Austar/Foxtel, complete with a cool pool/air hockey table combination.
While in the garage there is a table tennis table. The house is equipped with plenty of games to entertain the adults and kids alike.
Feel free to bring along your own Play Station, Wii, XBox etc to plug into either the games room or bunk room TV.
Stepping out from the games room onto the back lawn you can: ~ walk down to the lake and take a stroll ~ go for a paddle on one of the two surf skis ~ take the 3-seater canoe for a paddle ~ relax on the sun lounge or at the downstairs outdoor setting ~or simply admire the view from the new 5/6 person hot spa.
Down by the lake there is also a 3.5m tinnie complete with 5HP motor ready for your enjoyment and for exploring the beautiful lake.
The property is surrounded by rolling lawns, these spacious grounds provide a tremendous area for the kids to roll around and spend their energy. There is an abundance of bird life (including Nesting Hawks, Pelicans and a variety of Parrots and Kookaburras) and beautiful natural surroundings with Smiths Lake lapping at the edges. Great views all year round and breathtaking sunsets.
Our aim is to make our place a complete holiday experience and I am sure we will not disappoint.
Smiths Lake is suitable for all water sports and is just a short 5 minutes away from some of the most spectacular beaches in NSW including Bluey's, Boomerang, and Elizabeth, and for the naturalist amoungst us the very bueatiful Shelly's beach. The closest beach, Cellito, can be accessed via a short board walk through coastal rain forest or via Jemma’s own motor boat, canoe or paddle skis.
Seal Rocks Lighthouse is well known for it's panoramic views and beautiful beaches and is only short drive south of Smiths Lake.
There are numerous tourist drives AND 4WD trails some with access to remote beaches. There is a 9 hole golf course and tennis club just 5 minutes drive away along with horse riding, local markets, and restaurants all nearby.
Forster/Tuncurry is just a scenic 20 minute drive away and offers many options with boat cruises, Dolphin and Whale watching and estuary Cruises, a 3 Cinema complex along with many Clubs and Restaurants. Not to mention the magnificent beaches! For a more leisurely trip to Forster/Tuncurry take your boat to the ramp at the Rec Club at Pacific Palms on Wallace Lake, just a few minutes away.
If you drive to Forster on The Lakes Way you will see the Green Cathedral at Tinonee . A breathtaking setting on the edge of Wallace Lake, very popular for weddings. Just past this is the Lakes-Way Cafe on Wallace lake where you can get a meal, hire water craft or just enjoy this spectacular view over a cuppa.
The immediate area provides local clubs for great meals at affordable prices, Smiths Lake Bowling Club on Macwood Road and Pacific Palms Rec Club on Wallace Lake, well worthy of a visit!
The Charlotte Bay fish shop on the Lakes Way is a must with fresh catches daily. A well known Seafood supplier to upmarket restaurants through out NSW.
The local village shops can cater for most of your needs with a butcher, baker, liquor store and general store. The Lakes cafe (TLC) has the best coffee and is a great spot for lunch and or dinner.
FROTHY COFFEE is on the lake front at Amaroo boasting fantastic views of the Lake and Sandbar. A very popular spot, alongside the boat ramp and BBQ grounds where a variety of boat hire options available. Fishing is also abundant at Smiths Lake.
Smiths Lake is located between Myall lakes and Wallace Lakes and 6 minutes North of Seal Rocks. Only 20 Min's drive south of Forster and 2.5 hours from Sydney
