If you like "messing about on the river," this is the place for you!

The cottage is within easy walking distance of the Moore River and a short drive to the rivermouth. There are lovely views of the golf course at the rear. The Tuarts and wildflowers along the riverbank are gorgeous, you can fish off the boardwalk or paddle/motor along the river enjoying the natural beauty and tranquility of the area. There are lots of quiet spots where you can go in for a refreshing dip on hot days. For those with the energy to climb them, sandboarding down the dunes into the river is also a popular activity.
Boats and canoes are available for hire at the rivermouth.

At the rivermouth

Where the Moore River flows into the Indian Ocean, a wide sandbar separates the river from the ocean during the Summer months, creating a large shallow lagoon, nestled between a high sand-dune on the left and limestone cliffs on the right. This provides a perfect picnic and waterplay spot for families with babies and toddlers. More energetic individuals can bodyboard on the blue-green waves of the ocean on the other side of the sandbar.
