Description
Nestled on a 17-hectare block of former farmland and native forest on the shores of Berringer Lake (a northern arm of Lake Conjola), our cottages are ideal for a family on a budget or as a low-cost base for couples wishing to explore the beauty of the surrounding beaches, fishing spots and national park wildlife.
Our location presents tranquility by being away from public roads and with views of the lake, forest, grasslands and a national park on the opposite side of the lake. It's just a short stroll down to the lakefront where you can cast a line and hook a nice flathead or bream to cook.
Our cottages have two bedrooms and are fully self-contained. The wide (and sheltered) verandas provide the perfect spot to gaze out over the grassy foreshore to the lake and watch the resident kangaroos and birds play. Each cottage has its own outdoor wood burning barbecue, picnic table and seats.
Each cottage can accommodate up to four people. We never have the problem of large numbers of people in holiday times as in communal holiday parks or suburban neighbourhoods.
Family groups find it enjoyable, safe and convenient to be together and yet separate with their own cottage.
Our place is ideal for canoes and kayaks since we are in a four-knot limit part of the lake. You can moor your boat at our small sandy and keep and eye on it from your cottage.
