Built in 1871, this historic home by the harbour in Port Albert has been lovingly and meticulously restored to provide affordable, comfortable, and uncluttered luxury accommodation for the modern traveller. Centrally located alongside the award winning Maritime Museum and opposite the General Store Cafe and Galleries, Rodondo is the only Bed and Breakfast in Port Albert which offers a taste of the town’s maritime history, along with every modern facility.
High Victorian ceilings grace the bedrooms, with heating underfoot in winter, and beds are dressed with crisp cotton sheets and big white towels that have been dried in the sun.
Relax on comfy sofas in the living room, peruse baskets overflowing with books, or gaze out through the wall of French windows opening onto the sunny deck to glimpse the sea beyond. Late in the afternoon, sip your favourite beverage on the sunny verandah and watch the world go slowly by.
In the kitchen, which overlooks the harbour, a long farmhouse table is set around with antique country chairs. Freshly squeezed orange juice, home-grown tomatoes, local free-range eggs and muffins straight from the oven are just some of the goodies on offer for breakfast, along with the morning papers.
Rodondo is so good, so welcoming and so laid back , you will just have to stay a second night -
The Bed and Breakfast offers Queen, King or Twin bed options, all with ensuite bathrooms.
The luxury Queen rooms have double showers over king sized baths.
All rooms are equipped with television, a bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
In floor heating is provided for chilly winter nights, and ceiling fans provide cool air in summer.
Wireless Internet access is available free of charge to all guests.
