Featured in The Age \"Good Weekend - 52 Weekends Away\" - an independednt guide to the best short breaks in Australia(18 October 2008)
Suddenly, the beach is closer. With the advent of the Eastlink tollway, heading for the Mornington Peninsula\'s rugged southern coastline is easier than ever. At remote St Andrews Beach, the surf crashes onto the sand, ideal for wild winter walks or sauntering in summer twilight.
Number 208 sits back a couple of hundred metres, nestled among the tea-trees but with a vista that can draw the gaze of comfortably ensconced weekenders for hours.
A comfy beach house incorporating eclectic art and funky 1960\'s style, 208 would happily accommodate couples or a small family. This is a quieter pocket of the peninsula, but an easy drive to Sorrento\'s cafe society and other bayside treats, and within reach of plentiful recreation - some of Victoria\'s finest golf courses, plus wineries, galleries and myriad walking routes.
Here you can choose to retreat from the world with wine and cheese and a good book or engage with all that\'s on offer.
