Description

Fosterton Dairy is located on the Fosterton Loop on 160 Acres of the pastoral property, Fosterton. Angus cattle graze the hills and lush river flats of the Williams River.

The Dairy is not suitable for children.

The Dairy is a romantic retreat for 2 - 4 people. A bedroom with a double bed and a desk and chair overlook the farm and out to a charming garden.

The living room has a Queen sized sofa bed, several lounge chairs, tables and chairs and a wood burning combustion fire.

The original dairy doors have been used to conceal a fridge, microwave and sink. Tea and coffee are provided.

The original grain shed has been converted to the shower room.

The Dairy doubles as a private art gallery; oil paintings and etchings adorn the walls. Upon application works may be purchased.

Local Activities

The Dairy is only a 10 minute walk to the Williams River, an ideal location for a romantic picnic or a spot of fishing.

Riding the 20 kilometres of the Fosterton Loop provides a relaxing view of the dairy and beef cattle region close to Dungog and is perfect for cycling enthusiasts. Pedalfest is held annually in Dungog, with 400 riders converging on the town for a range of rides both for the amateurs and those keen to engage 50 km rides to the Barrington Tops.

Local restaurants provide opportunities for a relaxing coffee reading the papers, a scrumptious lunch or a romantic dinner.

The Dungog Historical Society provides an opportunity to look into the extraordinary past of our forefathers, including the development of the timber pipeline which supplied Newcastle with water.

In town antique shops and an art gallery which has also an extensive range of elegant handcrafts will tempt you to take away a memento of your stay at Fosterton.

The east facing deck overlooks the property and provides a perfect location for outdoor dining and to watch the sunrise or in the evening the sun set while enjoying the complimentary bottle of local wine.

The Barbeque provides the ideal way to enjoy a relaxed meal while soaking up the magnificent vista of the Fosterton landscape.
