Dom Grzyb is a delightful 3 bedroom architect-renovated brick beach house in a wonderful location at Middleton Point. The house has some sea views and is located on a quiet cul-de-sac opposite the Middleton gully reserve and only 1 minute (250 metres) walk to rolling waves at Middleton Point - the best surf break on the south coast!! The house faces an open landscaped reserve at the front while the back gate opens to a local park at the rear. The house has been recently upgraded, to provide wonderful light-filled and generous living spaces and an upgraded kitchen. Cedar folding doors open out onto the rear entertaining area and fantastic garden designed by the owners. Council tennis courts, a basketball hoop and childrens play equipment are just outside the back gate with a half pipe closer to the beach. The house is on the bike path which runs between Goolwa and Victor Harbor. Once a year in March the rear next door park hosts the Middleton Jazz Festival and those who rent over this weekend are eligible for a free pass into this reserve!!
Adjacent to the kitchen is an outdoor undercover entertaining area with a gas BBQ surrounded by attractive pots. Further into the garden is a vegetable patch and permanent outdoor seating with an umbrella. The house is 300 m to township of Middleton and the Middleton Store which has a large selection of gourmet and everyday grocery items. The Middleton Mill provides coffee and delicious meals, with a beautiful garden to sip wine - and this is only 3 minutes walk away!! Nearby, all in walking distance are the local tavern, the bakery and surf shop to hire boards or take a lesson in surfing. You can also pick up homemade goods at the community hall.
The interior of the house reflects the creative talents of the owners from the moment you enter warm and interesting colours, local art on the walls, extensive collection of books and magazines for browsing and board games to make your holiday relaxing and fun. The rear extension brings the outside inside, with views out to the garden and park beyond. The interior has a colourful cosy character and has been generously appointed, featuring a wood-fired heater for cool evenings, TV, and video, DVD and CD players.

With its temperate climate, central highlands and coastal fringes, the Fleurieu Peninsula offers wine, wildlife and water in delightful abundance. In the peninsula area, there are 60 cellar door wineries many with restaurants attached, which offer the opportunity to taste some of Australias most exciting wines and regional cuisine. Roadside stalls offer fresh produce for your picnic baskets.
Australian wildlife presents itself to the visitor throughout the year. Little Penguins return to nests on Granite Penguin Island at nearby Victor Harbor every evening of the year. Kangaroos are seen on the hillsides in most of the 20 or so national parks, in particular in Cox Scrub, Newland Head and Deep Creek. From May to September, whale watching is magical - southern right whales and their young frolic along the coastlines of Encounter Bay and particularly just west of Middleton Point walking distance from Dom Grzyb. In 2006, two month-old calves were breaching just 40 metres offshore! Coorong National Park, southeast of the Murray Mouth, is famous for its migratory waders and the Onkaparinga Estuary, Aldinga Scrub and areas around Mount Compass, Goolwa and Hindmarsh Island reward bird watchers. Winter and springtime wildflowers and orchids delight the keen observer. On the Fleurieu Peninsula, water plays a major part in the recreational activities of locals and visitors alike. Long sandy beaches, rugged cliffscapes, and sheltered coves introduce a range of year-round holiday activities that include fishing, surfing, scuba and snorkelling, sailing and swimming.
This really is a wonderful location that you have here. We have had a number of great walks from the house
and have also enjoyed exploring your garden for more ideas for our own gardens. - Dorothea and Elizabeth, Adelaide
This is our first visit to Dom Grzyb and we are overwhelmed by the wonderful colours, great and surprising art work and the glorious garden
Ill never forget our evening cycle to a huge deserted beach to swim, with the sun making a golden pathway across the waves - Jane, Oxford, UK
We have enjoyed ten truly summer days here, - sun, beach, swims, outdoor eating, long nights etc. The large new kitchen/dining room opening onto the garden is a treat and has been perfect for organising kids and adult space and for entertaining. The play equipment, basket ball hoop and tennis courts just out the back gate is bonus for kids!! We will come again!! - Kath, Melbourne
