Karrak Reach is a very special place. There are 3 chalets perched at the highest point of the property. Surrounded by forest the chalets offer unsurpassed views of the Scotsdale valley. The property abounds with wildlife and is a bird watchers paradise. Pack a picnic and explore the 50 acres of karri forest at your doorstep. Wake up every morning to choirs of kookaburras and magpies. Share magnificent sunsets with the huge mobs of kangaroos that visit the property daily. Situated in the heart of the Denmark winery district, the chalets are close to galleries and local attractions. Karrak Reach is tailored for people who want to experience the spirit of Denmark and who respect and appreciate the environment. We hope guests will enjoy wandering in the forest and experiencing the wildflowers and birdlife. The wrens and wagtails are very sociable and will invite themselves to picnics. Karrak Reach is also a small working farm and trufflerie.

The Setting

The Scotsdale area is a magnificent locality. A stunning mix of vineyards, farmland and forest, the valley is thought by many to represent the essence of Denmark. Karrak Reach is close to some of Australia's best wineries and just a few minutes from a range of attractions including an alpaca farm, cheese factory, various places to have a leisurely lunch and, for the more energetic, stunning walking trails. Karrack Reach hopes to appeal to a wide range of guests. We welcome families however we advise families with toddlers and children under 6yo to take extra care because there are balconies and the location is steep. In order to prevent accidental drownings dams have been fenced off and the fences have been equipped with a low voltage charge. These precautions make the property is a great place for children to experience a holiday in a beautiful natural setting.

Dog Friendly

Karrak Reach welcomes well behaved dogs. Dogs are welcome inside as long as they keep off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. Owners are expected to supply bedding and eating bowls and to dispose of droppings. Currently there is no fencing for the chalets so dogs need to be under supervision at all times.

Karrak Reach is a working farm and trufflerie and all stock paddocks are securely fenced. Fences are equipped with a low voltage charge for the protection of dogs and children. The forest is an exciting place for dogs to run around and we have a long list of testimonials from our canine guests to this effect.
