For those interested in brid watching, over 150 varieties of native birds ranging from the tiny Fire Tail Finch to Australia's largest raptor, the Wedge Tail Eagle, frequent the area in the immediate vicinity of the Lodge. Native flowering trees which have been planted in the area immediately below the lodge serve as an added attraction to the many nectar eating birds and other wildlife including the Ulyssis Butterfly.
