MAKATINGA is a 2400 acre property covered by native flora and fauna .The house is positioned on the banks of the Nymboida River .In the heat of summer,the cool shaded bank of the river is the place to be. At dusk you might even see a platypus.Native birds,bush turkeys,paddy melons are all here.
The timber and stone architectually designed solar powered house has the main bedroom downstairs with another upstairs in the A framed loft. The big timber kitchen is fully equiped with a gas frig,gas stove and a modern wood fired stove which can also double to produce hot water for the house.There is a huge covered deck area with BBQ and outside dining overlooking the river. There is an inside dining room as well plus a seperate lounge room and two bathrooms.Access is by 4WD only.

Nymboida:-about 40km southwest of Grafton.
The village is sited near the Nymboida River and Goolang Creek and has a charming heritage style hotel,canoe centre,outdoor activity centre,school,community hall,church,police station,local corner store and sports ground all surrounded by a small amount of local houses and a large amount of beautiful country side.
Nymboida offers visitors the opportunity to get off the beaten track and relax in the warm and friendly atmosphereand peaceful surroundings,appreciating the small local art & craft studios,or have an action packed holiday,canoeing,rafting,abseiling,kayaking,4WDing,mountain-biking,canyoning and rock-climbing.
