Guest Reviews

  • "We've just returned from a wonderful weekend at Forestdale with another family. The property is in a great location with lovely views of the surrounding area. The house is comfortable and a good price for a weekend away. We loved the firepit, outdoor deck, chooks, cows and bbq. Even had the first swim of the season at nearby Seal Rocks. We'd recommend Forestdale to other families looking for a country getaway only 3 hours from Sydney. "

  • "We are a family of four and my main requirement for our holiday was that it was somewhere quiet and without neighbours on top of us. Forestdale indeed delivered. Just a few hours north of Sydney, we found ourselves on 25 acres of property, surrounded by hillside. This was however not remote, as it was a short drive to the lakes, coast and national parks. The house is ideally placed on a hill and it has an all-round balcony, so whatever the weather you can sit out there and take in the scenery. The house was well furnished and the kitchen had everything that was needed.More importantly, the owner was very helpful from our first contact and was responsive when needed. The pool table just needs some attention, but otherwise we had a great time."

  • "After much debate as to where my future Belgian Wife and I would get married we settled on the idea of a rather creative / casual wedding, amongst gum trees and wild bush birds. After enquiring with the owners of Forestdale for our four day wedding stay, to our delight they were more than happy to assist us in our accommodation needs and add free creative licience of decoration for the special day. Neadless to say our stay was AMAZING. Our memories filled with wonderful glipsess of all our friends enjoying the property and its ability to deliver the rather broad experience we both had in our minds eye. So others know, our wedding consisted of a weekend stay with 15 people staying fri sat nights. Thouse who did not have a bed in the house slept in a tent and my wife and I slept in the Cow Shed. ! Yep the Cow shed. Yes, even the cow shed looked amazing for our honey moon evening...... say no more. We catered for 30 people for our wedding lunch and catering was done by a local friend ( Julia ) of Forestdale owners. Everyone who attended the wedding thought it the perfect location for such an event and at some point 80 % of the guests will return of there own accord I am sure. Thanks again to all at forestdale for your assistance, your catering contacts "
