Waking up to the sound of crashing waves is just one small part of the luxury that is Point South By the Sea.
The cottages are well designed and include fantastic window seats, where we spent many hours relaxing.
The only regret we had staying at this property was that we did not stay longer!

My husband and I spent a chilly weekend at Point South. The beautiful view, fireplace and lovely accomodation made for a restful and relaxing weekend. We just loved it and were so glad we chose Points South over other accommodation in the area.
The window seat was our highlight, we spent many hours reading in the sun in the huge bay window and munching on all of thte goodies in the very generous welcome pack.
Only downside was the TV and DVD was very complicated!
Highly recommend, we look forward to coming back for a longer stay in future.

These cottages are just perfect-private and luxurious with a view that would be hard to beat. A really well fitted out kitchen and a lovely bag of goodies to welcome you.Big comfortable lounge with fireplace makes a lovely winter break. We had a truly magical 3 days at Points by the Sea. It was a great location to explore all the elements of The Great Ocean Road. Fantastic and would certainly rebook if we were ever back in the same locality. The climb up to the mainhouse just to see the Koalas is certainly a must do and worth all the effort. The cottages were perfectly appointed and all the background preparation, bookings, directions etc were first class... we were welcomed with a lovely guest pack of goodies which was a nice surprise and Bryan kept in touch with us to make sure everything was fine...such attention to detail was only matched by the magnificent ocean views from every window, the wonderful beach walks and all the majesty of the Otway ranges at our finger tips!!! The whole family fell in love with the cottage. All four of us could snuggle up with books in the window seat. The whole property is beautiful and we spotted the resident koalas. Hard to believe we were just across the Great Ocean Rd from the beach as the cottage felt so secluded yet a 10 minute drive and we were in Apollo Bay. My only suggestion would be a washing machine in the cottage especially for summer as the homestead is a long uphill walk.

Watching the bad weather sitting in front of the fire place was a joy, had the webber cooking on the veranda while i enjoyed a good red and the company i was with.......It had every thing i needed..

Needed a circuit breaker after a hectic month. Points South did the job. Walked the dogs on the beach, cooked great meals for ourselves both nights, jogged the hills (now there's a way to get rid of the rust of sleep and a few glasses of chardonnay, these are real man-sized hills). Fire was great and sitting in front of it on a wet, elemental Saturday afternoon, we were able to watch Geelong get the four points from Hawthorn. Bliss on a stick, beating the Dirty Nappies by two points is better than beating them by two goals. Saw rainbows, ships, but no whales this time. So we will have to go back.

This was our 4th visit to Points South. We love the views from the verandah, rain hail or shine and the window seats that you can curl up in and read a good book with a glass of wine. Our dog Bella loves going for a walk to the beach and having a swim. We always feel relaxed as soon as we walk in the door, especially with lovely welcoming hamper of goodies. Bryan and Joan are great hosts. Points South is a special place for us as that is where my fiance proposed down sitting on the rocks at the beach. We will definately be back again and again.

What a fantastic place! Great scenery, very secluded and a stones throw from the beech. The weather was ordinary during our stay so we spent our time in front of the fire watching the waves crash on the nearby rocks. Only 13km to Apollo Bay if you want get back to civilisation.

We loved it. Very relaxing watching the waves come in while sitting in front of the log fire. It's a great location to explore The Great Ocean road from as well. We saw whales in Warrnambool, wild deer in Beech Forest and Cappucinno in Apollo Bay. It was an easy drive through incredible rain forrests and along spectacular ocean cliffs to the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge and the other fantasic sights along the coast.
We recieved a large hamper on arrival and found the cabin to be very private. Highly recommend it.

Such a beautiful spot with hospitable hosts. We had a truly relaxing and peaceful stay. Attention to detail such as the heater being left on for our arrival, and the extensive welcome basket made our cottage even more homely and comfortable.
What a treat to go to sleep to the sounds of the ocean.

We very much enjoyed our four nights at Points South. The cottage is well situated above a bend in the Great Ocean Road - although road noise was not an issue with the double-glazing. We were able to see several whales from the cottage during our stay so that's an indication of the quality of the view from the cottage. After a hard stint at work I wanted to start my holidays by unwinding and spending time relaxing by the ocean. Points South was the perfect place to go! We lazed around on the window seat looking out at the ocean, relaxed by the fire with a glass of wine and enjoyed the spa to soak away the stress. We fell asleep each night to the sound of waves crashing just below us. It was a perfect position near enough to Apollo Bay to go in to experience the market and nights out at restaurants. Bryan was wonderful-ensuring our stay was everything we wanted it to be with useful local knowledge and providing us with a complimentary gift basket full of goodies. We loved our stay-we had everything we needed in the house and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. We highly recommend Points South as a romantic, relaxing getaway!!

Sadly have returned home from 2 fabulous weeks at Points South. Absolute peace and quiet, warm fire, luxury furnishings and some of the best views along the Great Ocean Road.
This was our second visit and met every expectation we had. Bryan and Joan are the best hosts, there when you need them and invisible when you don't. Highly recommend a visit, but make sure you give yourselves a good few days to relax and enjoy.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. From the moment we were greeted with a delicious hamper we knew we were in for a treat! The house itself is extremely comfortable with stunning views all around (even from the bedroom)
I cannot recommend Points South enough - definitely my favourite accomodation on the Great Ocean Road so far (and I've stayed at a few!)

Our stay at Points South was just superb... we had a wonderful week of relaxing by the fire, looking at the amazing view and enjoying the well-appointed cottage. Everything was very tasteful and modern, making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Our little dog had a ball too and it was so nice that she was welcome. Thanks so much for our warm welcome, the lovely hamper and the beautiful accommodation - we would love to return!

Beautiful accommodation with truly amazing views of the ocean! The secluded location offers peace and tranquility, yet still close to nearby towns for the option of dining out or sightseeing. A thoughtful hamper basket provided by the hosts, was much appreciated and helped in making a memorable & relaxing stay.

Wow. Every moment of our stay was fabulous. The cottage was fabulous, well appointed, very comfortable with great view and extremely relaxing. We especially liked the fire place and window seat. Our hosts Bryan and Joan were also great, helping us out with the little things, however only when we needed them. Thanks so much Bryan and Joan, we really loved our stay and highly recommend it.

A fantastic cottage.... the most amazing views and lovely hosts, in a great central location. We will recommend Points South by the Sea to all our friends and family to stay here... and hopefully we will be back again soon.

Great position and accommodation for a wonderful getaway even in the middle of winter. Close to towns, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace, tranquility and listen to the waves. The fire, window seat and facilities were excellent. Would recommend and we will be back again....

A little slice of heaven away from the Rat Race !
If you want to relax with no distractions this is the place to do it. You wont find a more comfortable home away from home, and the thoughtfulness of the owners shows everywhere you look from the fully decked out kitchen to the care package you are greeted with. It's the ideal cozy get away you will visit over and over again. Thank you for being everything that was promised on the website.

The cabin we stayed in was Awesome. The view is amazing. It is very clean and everything (appliances etc. worked perfectly).
Points South is located about 1/3 of the way down the Great ocean road and is an excellent place to explore the road from if you are staying for any period of time. The owners, Bryan and Joan, are very nice and excellent hosts.
I could not possibly give this place a higher recommendation.

Very private, beautifully appointed cabins; practical and luxurious at the same time. Lovely welcoming hamper on arrival; once again, both practical and luxurious with bottled water, healthy yummy breakfast goodies, REAL coffee to go with their thoughtfully provided coffee maker, chocolate......wine provided to buy if you wish...everything you could need to unwind and ease yourself in.Herbs growing around the cabins wafted fragrance in and around.The views were gorgeous; It almost felt as though you were suspended over the sea. Cross the road, and you were on the beach. We walked the (I think it was about 14 km),to Apollo Bay along the beach, had lunch at one of their lovely coffee shops, and caught a taxi back. Even the taxi ride was good, with the driver being a local. He filled us in on real estate, speed cameras, and other locals. We're going back for a week after Christmas. Almost forgot to mention that the hosts were charming and friendly without being intrusive.

This stunning cottage is in a fantastic location with breathtaking views. The rain forest walks nearby were outstanding and we loved seeing the wild life on the property. It is quiet and secluded. Just what we were looking for!

Absolutely stunning! The accommodation is first rate and the view is priceless. We were happy to prepare our own meals and soak in the views and serenity. However it is only a short car ride into Apollo Bay. Our host Bryan was very helpful and dedicated to ensure our stay was perfect. The enormous breakfast hamper was unexpected. We didn't want to leave. We hope to be back! :-)

Fantastic location it is so peaceful and tranquil and just gorgeous. The room was fantastic so romantic yet modern.
We had a fantastic time and will definately be back.

We had the most wonderful time on the weekend we stayed at Points South by the Sea, especially because it was a surprise wedding present. We couldn't have wanted any more!! Between the beautiful apartment (with an exceptional goodies basket!), the amazing views and very special encounters with numerous koala's and an echidna it truly made it a weekend to remember. Highly recommend this for anyone in need of some R&R.
Next time we are staying for a week!!

We were prepared for a fairly typical rental property, you know the type, owner's old furniture, mismatched crockery etc. The self contained cottage is elegant,modern and certainly the most happily situated weekender we've ever stayed in. Everything is new,tasteful and matching and everything works. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Points South to anyone wishing to relax in comfort with the best view on the South Coast.
The welcome hamper saw us through the week - end and the thoughtfully chilled wine saved a trip to the Apollo Bay pub first up. Great memories from this short break.

We had such a great time at the Point South cottage, incredible view to the Ocean, can´t really get closer. Such a lovely cottage and the best spot to relax a view days.Everything you need is very close by and the cottage was well appointed. We can just highly recommend it, thanks a lot.
