The Genie House is within 5 minutes leisurely walk to Byron shops, restaurants and clubs and only 3 minutes walk to Byron Cinema and 8 minutes walk to Main Beach. This home offers convenience plus with the Green Garage Fruit/Vegie Barn & Cafe (great coffee) directly across the road. Mudhoney Salon is also situated 50 metres away and offers hair, nail, massage and beauty treatments.
This home offers 3 bedrooms - one queen / one double / 2 king singles (which can be transformed into a king sized bed). The queen and double rooms have french doors opening onto a north-facing deck to catch the summer breezes. All bedrooms have ceiling fans with the single bedroom also containing air-conditioning. All bedrooms are furnished with white linen and towels.
The lounge is made very snug and warm in winter with a wood fireplace and electric fan-forced oil heater. The front sun-drenched atrium/dining area with bi-fold windows is a great place to curl up on the daybed with a good book.
The well established garden and fully secured fence provides a great area for children and your dog to play.

We would recommend staying at Genie House. The house is very clean and conveniently situated, with all the comforts of home. The deck, sunroom and the garden are just lovely. It is very calming and relaxing and has a lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit.

Our family had a wonderful time in Byron Bay with the added bonus of staying at Genie House. The 'cottage' was well presented, clean and spacious. We were right in the heart of town but the house was situated in a quiet street with no noise. Perfect!
We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend Genie House.
Extra added bonus - we were able to bring our dog along for the holiday and the coffee across the road was brilliant!

We loved staying here and Jeannie made us and our dog Monty very welcome. She really couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. We also loved the atmosphere of the house as it felt very comfortable and homey. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, food shopping over the road and restaurants within walking distance. We would love to stay here again when we next visit Byron.

As much as we would love to keep the genie house a secret so we'll always be guaranteed a reservation, we can't. Tastefully appointed, great location...what more do you need? We stayed in the middle of winter and were as warm as toast. Hopefully come back for the summer one day!

The perfect getaway for our young family. Clean, light & airy with lovely hosts. Close enough to everything but also far enough away to not to have hear some of the usual late night noise you get in the heart of town. Ideal. We will be back!!

home was lovely and you made us feel very welcome, with fresh flowers, books to read,etc. To be able to stay somewhere nice with our Cocker Spaniel was most appreciated.
We certainly would come back again, and
I have told my friends. The shop across the road was also great, with lots to choose from and also dog friendly.

This house is fantastic - we had a great time, and the little extras like the boogie boards and water guns etc were fantastic. We were 2 couples and 4 small kids ranging from 1 - 4 1/2 and it was great. An easy walk into town and far enough to be away from any noise and hustle and bustle. You could walk to the beach but not if you were loaded down with kids stuff! The owner was also really lovely. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 7 nights and I had my eye on several properties. I'm glad I picked the Genie house as it was just superb.
We met the owners Jim & Jeannie who were very friendly & accommdating. Wonderful people.
The house is tastefully renovated and is conveniently located across the road to the Green Garage. A unique organic supermarket with a teriffic outdoor cafe.
Its in town but tucked away from any traffic for peace and tranquility. The bikes were useful to travel to and from the beach and up to the light house, otherwise a casual short stroll to town.
Bedrooms are large and comfy, and the shower/bathroom big enough for comfort.
The house also has gas cooktop and a surround sound sytem for music and tv..
We really loved this house and i highly recommend it. It had a homely feel and was perfect for our Byron getaway.
