Description

A delightfully private 4 bedroom family friendly cottage with awesome views that comfortably sleeps 8 guests (pets are also most welcome).

The house comes complete with virtually everything that you could imagine you might need whilst you're away including full kitchen & BBQ facilities with outdoor dining areas where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets and views of the valley below. Quality Linen is supplied (including Towels) and the beds are very comfortable ensuring a great nights rest. Indoor / Outdoor Games are supplied for all to enjoy, TV/DVD player with a small DVD library (including Kids movies)as well as a selection of enjoyable books / magazines.

Choose to unwind in the relaxing atmosphere of the private gardens or visit the many local attractions of the spectacular Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

For parents with very young families, cots and prams available to you free of charge.

Located right on top of Balmoral Lookout (which is 5 kms south of Montville on the Blackall Range) the Montville Holiday House is ideal for families looking for somewhere that the parents can relax just as much as the kids, groups of friends hoping to catch up, unwind, have a few laughs and soak up the atmosphere, as well as couples looking for that intimate escape.

Bedding Configuration

This property sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. The configuration is 2 rooms with double beds and 2 rooms with double bunks. A port-a-cot is also available should this be required for infants.

We provide all linen, bedding and bathroom towels. Please bring your own beach towels if required. In winter it gets quite cold (by Queensland standards) in the evenings so packing a warm jacket is also advised.

How to get there

The Montville Holiday House is located at "Balmoral Lookout" which is midway between Maleny and Montville on the Blackall Range.

From Brisbane
Proceed north on the Bruce Highway for about 30 minutes eventually turning left following the signs toward Australia Zoo. Shortly after you pass Australia Zoo, turn left toward Landsborough and follow the signs toward Maleny. At the top of the range, turn right toward Montville . After about 5 minutes turn left at Balmoral Lookout. Montville Holiday House is to the left and is number 646.

From Noosa
Follow the Old Bruce Highway south to Nambour, turn right at the Showgrounds and follow the signs towards Maleny until you reach Balmoral Lookout. Montville Holiday House is to the left and is number 646.

What to do

Many people travel to the Blackall Range just to visit the famous Montville Village which boasts a delightful range of fascinating shops and a variety of eateries which offer anything from a cup of coffee to a delicious meal. The Range also boasts four wineries, each of which are open to the public for wine tasting with Cellar Door Sales available.

There are some excellent galleries on the Range offering a wide selection of work by local artists. There are many gift shops, galleries, potteries and eateries from traditional dishes to continental delicacies. The many art galleries both exhibit and produce works of great interest to all art lovers. Many artists reside in the area and show their work locally.

The local scenery is superb and may be accessed through places like Kondalilla Falls or Mapleton Falls National Parks with their walking trails in fabulous rain forest.

Several local markets on Saturday & Wednesday mornings, Eumundi offers its vibrant markets where you may buy anything from a pen to a dining room table.

Other attractions include:- Mapleton Falls National Park - where Pencil Creek cascades 120m over an escarpment to the valley below. Kondalilla Falls National Park - cascades 90m into the valley below. Mapleton Lilyponds - originally created by a local resident the lilyponds feature abundant water birds. The house is complete with a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher to make the washing up easy, giving you more time to relax, everything your need and just like home.

Taking care of the laundry is very easy as we provide all you will need for you and your family. There are 2 clothes lines one under cover and one out in the sunshine.

We have a fabulous outdoor dinning area with a spectacular view any time of the day or night, outdoor BBQ also available for alfresco dinning, while the kids kick a ball around the garden.
