  • "WOOOOOOOOW! What a hidden treasure! We were just blown away by the character of the cottage and the hospitality of Karen and Terry. Add on top of that the majesty of Jervis Bay and you have the perfect getaway. We love Banksia Rose Cottage!"
    Matt and Basak, March 2012

  • "If I could give this property 10 stars, I would. From the moment we walked in we were enamoured by it's cosy charm and rustic feel, and we really didn't want to leave. By day we explored and by night we forewent restaurants for the romantic feel of the outdoor and indoor setting (not to mention the HUGE TV and great music selection!). A simply beautiful home, and one which I shall return to again and again and again. I almost don't want to recommend it, because then everyone will want to stay! Thank you Karen for sharing your home with us. "

  • "The Banksia Rose cottage is a fantastic place to stay where you can fully relax and enjoy your holiday. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The property is well equipped, especially the kitchen, there are great books to read, guidebooks, good selection of movies and music. We enjoyed the BBQ area and alfresco dining. We hope to come back."

  • "We greatly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage only 5 minutes from Hyams beach. Karen gave us some great tips on places to visit in the national park where we were the only people on the beach. We will be back. Cathy and family and friends"

  • "We stayed at Banksia Rose Cottage for two nights and from the moment we walked in the front door, we felt that we had arrived at a home away from home. The welcoming cottage is full of interesting nic-nacs, a great book collection as well as an a good selection of CDs... plenty of material to help you while away those easy days. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was a small welcoming hamper in the kitchen that included real ground coffee to use in the plunger... nice touch Karen :) The beds are comfortable as are all the other seatings, both inside and out. From the cozy lounge area to the fireside chairs and the large outdoor couch, you are bound to find somewhere perfect to curl up or stretch out and really kick back during your stay. The cottage is centrally located being less than 5 mins drive from the beautiful Hyams beach, a short drive to the national park, close to the supermarket at Vincentia and a short drive to Huskisson. Judging from the guestbook, we were not the only people who thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will most certainly return."

  • "We stayed in the Banksia Rose Cottage for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage has a lot of character and is situated close to all the Jervis Bay beaches and attractions. The cottage is very comfortable with a great outdoor and bbq area. I would definitely recommend it. Michael &Chrysa"

  • "Really amazing property, everything we needed to have a great weekend away. Great to relax in the beautiful yard before heading down to the beach. Look forward to many more weekend getaways at Banksia Rose!"

  • "The house was wonderfully cosy and comfortable and a perfect base for exploring all the natural beauty around Jervis Bay. All the shops and things you need are only a couple of minutes drive up the road to Vincentia. Karen was a wonderful host and gave us lots of good tips on things to see is the area along with a quicker way of getting back to Melbourne. We can't wait to come back."
    Jacqui, May 2011

  • "A very charming cottage, tastefully decorated with everything what is needed for enjoyable weekend or holiday for a small family. Quite and peaceful but with its central location - short drive both to the Booderee NP and local townships. Fresh flowers, good coffee and chocolate on arrival were these additional little things which made us feel welcome. Thank you Karen - we hope to be back."
    Kasia, March 2011

  • "Beautiful and cosy cottage, perfect for a break from the city. Has all amenities you look for. Excellent BBQ outside area. We will be back!"
