If I could give this property 10 stars, I would. From the moment we walked in we were enamoured by it's cosy charm and rustic feel, and we really didn't want to leave. By day we explored and by night we forewent restaurants for the romantic feel of the outdoor and indoor setting (not to mention the HUGE TV and great music selection!). A simply beautiful home, and one which I shall return to again and again and again. I almost don't want to recommend it, because then everyone will want to stay! Thank you Karen for sharing your home with us.

The Banksia Rose cottage is a fantastic place to stay where you can fully relax and enjoy your holiday. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The property is well equipped, especially the kitchen, there are great books to read, guidebooks, good selection of movies and music. We enjoyed the BBQ area and alfresco dining. We hope to come back.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage only 5 minutes from Hyams beach. Karen gave us some great tips on places to visit in the national park where we were the only people on the beach. We will be back.

We stayed at Banksia Rose Cottage for two nights and from the moment we walked in the front door, we felt that we had arrived at a home away from home. The welcoming cottage is full of interesting nic-nacs, a great book collection as well as an a good selection of CDs... plenty of material to help you while away those easy days.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was a small welcoming hamper in the kitchen that included real ground coffee to use in the plunger... nice touch Karen :) The beds are comfortable as are all the other seatings, both inside and out. From the cozy lounge area to the fireside chairs and the large outdoor couch, you are bound to find somewhere perfect to curl up or stretch out and really kick back during your stay.
The cottage is centrally located being less than 5 mins drive from the beautiful Hyams beach, a short drive to the national park, close to the supermarket at Vincentia and a short drive to Huskisson.
Judging from the guestbook, we were not the only people who thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will most certainly return.

The house was wonderfully cosy and comfortable and a perfect base for exploring all the natural beauty around Jervis Bay. All the shops and things you need are only a couple of minutes drive up the road to Vincentia. Karen was a wonderful host and gave us lots of good tips on things to see is the area along with a quicker way of getting back to Melbourne. We can't wait to come back.

A very charming cottage, tastefully decorated with everything what is needed for enjoyable weekend or holiday for a small family. Quite and peaceful but with its central location - short drive both to the Booderee NP and local townships. Fresh flowers, good coffee and chocolate on arrival were these additional little things which made us feel welcome. Thank you Karen - we hope to be back.

Karen was the first person to respond, of all of the inquiries I had sent. The little cottage is charming and while not at the sea in perfect location to explore everything. Karen gave us some great advise on what to see in the area. I traveled with my mum and the two separates bedrooms were perfect. The cottage felt very homely with all the cute little touches. The biggest surprise was a Piano from my hometown in Germany!!!! Also beautiful was the bountiful bird and wild life, with kangaroos in a few gardens down the road and little parrakeet's visiting the bottle brush out front daily. We had a great stay. Thank you Karen.

We loved our stay. The cottage is so out of the ordinary, really unexpected. We really enjoyed being surrounded by collections of shells, beatifully-shaped bottles, old photos, watercolour paintings, a piano. The cottage is lovely to look at, but it's also practical - you name it, it's there. We even found satay sticks for our satay chicken on the barbeque. Gorgeous!

We were delighted with the elegance and charm of the cottage and appreciated the trust the owners displayed to allow us to stay amongst their "treasures". It was memorable from so many angles, from the welcoming flowers at the door, the feeling of peace and quiet within and the lovely sense of being in the Greek Islands under the vines as we barbequed. Thank you so much.

From the moment you walk in the door, the cottage tells you that it's time to take a break - whether it be reading one of the many books, tinkling the ivories, or simply lolling about in the sun. The cottage is located about 10 minutes from Vincentia, Huskisson and Hyam's Beach so is an excellent launching pad for exploring the surrounding areas.

What a wonderful cottage, it lived up to our expectations and more. It was well equipped with everything you could need. Lots of unique and interesting features making the cottage charming, warm and welcoming, both inside and out. With Karens finishing touches of fresh flowers, fire made just ready to light, little goodie pack and local information this is a perfect cottage for a relaxing break to explore the beautiful surrounding areas and beaches. There isnt enough words to describe how amazingly beautiful Banksia cottage is. Its very charming, full of character, rustic and very very clean. You would not need anything else as everything is provided, from the fully equipped kitchen, linen and barbeque. The open fireplace is a big bonus, perfect for these cold winter nights. We had a fantastic time staying there and cant wait for the next holiday.

Karen and her husband are lovely hosts and you can certainly trust their recommendations when it comes to the best beaches. Whilst not directly on the beach, everthing is easily accesible by bike or car, just the perfect, value for money starting point for your stay in Jervis Bay.
