The Peninsula is correctly described as "between two bays" and has a wonderful maritime climate, warmer than expected in Winter and cooler than expected in Summer. This climate supports a profusion of wonderful boutique wineries, many of which have tasting and dining facilities. Some of these wineries are less than ten minutes drive from Cleo's Escape. The Peninsula is also famous for the quality and variety of its golf courses, many of which will admit day visitors. The lower reaches of the Peninsula have famous surfing beaches as well as the Point Nepean National Park. Closed to the public for over 100 years, Point Nepean is now a popular tourist destination with spectacular ocean scenery. No matter what your desire, the Peninsula has something for everyone!
