Featured in Australian House & Garden (January 2012) the cottage was built in the 1930s and recently fully renovated to the highest standard.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the main house and an adjacent studio with bathroom, Driftwood is a perfect place for weekend or mid-week escape for up to eight people just 1.5 hours from Sydney.
Driftwood looks out onto peaceful Patonga Creek where you can swim, kayak or fish. There is a beach nearby, a restaurant and pub, and a good fish and chip shop.
The house is fully equipped to the highest standard with reverse-cycle airconditioning, a gas heated fire, wifi and quality furnishings and fittings.
So near yet so far away
Patonga is a working fishing village on the southern-most beach of the Central Coast. It is surrounded by Brisbane Waters National Park and deliciously cocooned from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We love Patonga for the spirit-raising feeling we get when we walk down the hallway at Driftwood in the morning and look out to the view of Patonga Creek. We are instantly relaxed and there's nothing more to do than enjoy.
Being here gives you the pleasureable feeling of a old-fashioned holiday and its traditional values while surrounded by the comforts of home.
In Patonga you feel a whole world away from anywhere else as you sit beside the water reading, chatting or watching the pelicans and herons.
Everything you need
Driftwood has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the house proper with an additional self-contained studio above the garage.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and ensuite. The second and third bedrooms have queen-sized beds and share the main bathroom (with large bath).
The studio has a queen-sized bed with ensuite and a double sofa-bed.
The house sleeps six people, the studio two.
The kitchen is well-equpped with an induction cooktop, 900mm oven, convection microwave and quality knives, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Linen and bath towels are provided.

Pricing is based on six people staying in the house. The studio accommodates another two people and incurs an extra cost. A total of eight people can stay at Driftwood at one time.
