Description

Southdown Stable is a converted 1857 stable that has been lovingly converted into a very cosy and unique self contained accommodation experience. A romantic and peaceful getaway set amongst camellia hedged rose gardens.
You have the use of the 6 acre manicured historic garden to enjoy during your stay.
The Stable is fully equipped with a queen bedroom, separate bathroom, a lounge/dining/kitchen area, including a wood fire for the Highlands winter ambience. There is also a single divan bed in the lounge area. An initial 2 day full basket breakfast is provided.
In addition, for your total comfort and relaxation, gas heating and reverse cycle airconditioning and a fully equipped period kitchen
are provided for the perfect romantic getaway.
Featured on Sydney Weekender and reviewed by the Sun Herald Travel section "Few bed & breakfast places offer a self-contained experience. Even fewer offer a throughly original feel. Southdown does both and virtually demands that you dream a little. No other place we have stayed at has quite offered the intrigue of the Southdown Stable"

  • "Once you have passed those gorgeous gates it is clear you enter a world of tranquility. This is a beautiful property, a real gem. Close to Bowral and yet felt like a world away. The guest accomodation was very comfortable and attention to detail was very high in the cleanliness department. Our breakfast basket was so generous that we only managed to finish half This property delivered on all fronts. Our dog loved being with us and we felt very comfortable having him at the property."

  • "A lovely comfortable stay, just as chargming as the description says it is. Even on a grey winter's day, it was cosy and comfortable. It's certainly one of the best places we have stayed in the Highlands. Thanks very much."
