Description

Wappan Station is one of Australia's most scenic sheep station.(16000) sheep, situated in the heart of the "Man from Snowy River"country.
Wappan is only two hours from melbourne, right on the shores of Lake Eildon with views of Australias premier ski resort ,Mt Buller.
The property has a rich aboriginal history. Previous owners the Bons gave sanctuary to Aboriginal people who survived massacres in the 1840's, and allowed them to live here.
Our accommodation consists of three seperate dwellings which can altogether sleep 38 people.
Depending on what is on, our guests are welcome to view all farm operations refer to our website.

Accommodation

We consist of three seperate dwellings. Wappan Cottage Royaltwown Cottage and The shearers quarters. Wappan Cottage is spacious with views of Lake Eildon. It sleeps up to twelve people. It consists of two bedrooms with Queen beds, one has an ensuite, two twins and one set of bunks. There is a double sofa bed in the living area which has airconditioning and a woodheater and the second living area has an open fires. The house has two bathrooms and three showers.

Royaltown Cottage has views of the surrounding hills and consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, seperate toilet and kitchen/living area. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom is twin share. There is a double sofa bed in the living area.

The sheares quarters is a charming place with a real country feel. There is a verandah on one side, looking out onto the Wappan Hills. Four bedrooms lead onto the verandah and the other four are around the back. Four bedrooms are twin share, two have double beds, two have twin share, one has twin share bunks and the other has one set of bunks and a bed. There is a fireplace in the kitchen/living area with a massive table big enough to seat twenty people. The newly renovated corrugated iron bathroom(male and female) is just outside with fantastic facilities for twenty people.
