Hume Park is located in a picturesque valley surrounded by serene mountains and rural landscapes just ten minutes drive from the beautiful township of Buchan....world-reknown for its magical limestone caves and karst systems.

Whilst at "Buchan Farmhouse" there are farm animals to feed and admire and Australian wildlife and birdlife in abundance. For the keen photogragher there are many magical opportunities to capture special memories and experiences.
Locally there are bushwalks, places of historical significance and tourist sites to visit. The iconic Snowy River is less than ten minutes drive where one can enjoy picnics ,BBQ, swimming and sight seeing.As well one can take a leisurely ten-minute drive to the historic township of Buchan .
Further afield scenic drives and day trips can be made to such popular places as Lakes Entrance and the famous Ninety Mile Beach. Metung, Paynesville, Bairnsdale, and Orbost.(All within approx. one hour driving time).
"Buchan Farmhouse" is located along the enchanting "Tourist Route#5 Drive" and is also close to the "Snowy River Country Trail" .This trail takes in the famous Mackillops Bridge which is well worth a visit as it's one of the few crossing points of the Snowy River and was built by post -WW11 immigrants following completion of the "Snowy Hydro Electricity Scheme".

"Buchan" an historic township is situated in a very pretty valley nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. It is world- reknown for its scenery, wilderness forests, pristine rivers and air, limestone caves and karst systems. Buchan, was one of the first settlements in Victoria (settled before Melbourne) and was home to Rev. John Flynn of "Flynn of the Inland" fame.

Located in the unique naturally magic corner of Eastern Victoria "BUCHAN FARMHOUSE ACCOMMODATION" is an easy one hour drive (67 kms) from Bairnsdale along the Princes Highway and 4 hours drive (360 kms) east from Melbourne.
Driving time from Orbost along the Princes Hwy. via Nowa Nowa is one hour or alternatively take the scenic Snowy River Flats-Forest drive via Bete Belong for one hour.
Travelling time from Canberra via the Barry Way is approx. 5 hours.
Driving time from Jindabyne via Gelantipy is approx.3 hours.
