Guest Reviews
My family and I stayed at Highfield Cottage for 2 nights recently and absolutely loved it. There was 11 of us and the cottage was a great size for the whole family. It was also so nice to go somewhere where the children could also enjoy themselves and were catered for with lots of toys etc. Recommend to anyone with family's and children!!!!

Thanks Jan and Chris for a perfect house for our holiday. The house was well appointed, and had everything a family could possibly want for a holiday. The pool was great for the kids ( your winter is like our summer!). Plenty of toys, games, and condiments for us to use, it felt like a real home. We will do our best to return, and i will be sure to tell all of our friends about it. Thanks again:)

it was my fiance's birthday and we wanted to get away with a few family members and had spent 2 days trying to find the perfect accomodation... until we stumbled accross the Highfield Cottage on the internet. It was perfect, exactly what we were looking for and had enough room to accomodate us all for the weekend! It has such a great feeling about it and to have fresh milk in the fridge and condiments and more in the cupboards .. we were set for the weekend!

It was such a nice relaxing weekend away from our every day lives.. thanks for having us!!! :D

We stayed at Highfield Cottage for 5 nights in July. The house was absolutely perfect for our extended family group. There was plenty of space for everyone and the kids loved having so many toys and books to keep them busy. Carrara was also a good base to explore the Gold Coast. We'd highly recommend Highfield Cottage to anyone looking for a clean, spacious, hassle free family holiday. Thanks Jan!

Our family and our friend's family with a total of 4 adults and 5 kids stayed in Highfield Cottage for 2 nights at the end of our 2-week vacation in Queensland. The house was absolutely well-stocked with all the things you need (and much more that we don't need). There's even milk and bread and a pantry full of sauces, cereals, canned food etc. There's even enough popsicles for everyone in the fridge for all of us! Our kids didn't have enough time to play with all the toys in the house; there were toys all over the house and even a trampoline in the backyard. We could have stayed in the house for a whole week without having to go out! Thanks again, Jan, for keeping the house so neat and clean and fully equipped! We will definitely tell our friends about it and hopefully return to stay longer soon! Cheers!

We had two families of four stay and found that the house accommodated all our needs. It was really easy to find and was close by to all the theme parks and Pacific Fair. We didn't make it to the beaches but hope to visit again in the summer, so we can utilise the fantastic pool and BBQ area. The house held all the comforts of home and can't think of anything else you would want for. We would thoroughly recommend the house to others. Thanks again for a truly great weekend.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Highfield Cottage. The cottage with 5 rooms cater our family
of 6 adults, 3 children and 1 infant very comfortably. The children enjoyed the toys,
trampoline and story books. It was also a nice surprise that the cottage came with a baby
chair, stroller and portable cot, saving us from having to bring our own. The cottage also
has a very well equipped kitchen which is handy for meal preparation. We also enjoyed the
BBQ and outdoor dining, overlooking the pool. We were also able to wash and dry our clothes,
as the cottage also provides washing machine, dryer and washing powder. In short, the cottage
is a home away from home for us and we really appretiate the extent that the owner of the
property (Jan) has gone to make her guests feel comfortable. The cottage is also reasonably
priced, so it was truly value for money ! We would stronly recommend the cottage to anyone,
especially our own friends.

Wonderful! Fantastic! Home! We had a family of 10 stay at this property and I believe we were the first. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. The kids loved the pool and the veranda area was always used by the adults. It was a very welcoming surprise to see milk in the fridge and a loaf of bread (just in time for a cuppa). The pantry was stacked, washing powder, shampoo, conditioner all the comforts you wouldn't find at a hotel. The house it self is absolutely beautiful and make sure you check out the Japanese inspired main toilet. : ) The kids had all the toys they wanted to play with, without lugging them all the way on a plane. Colouring books, dolls house and even a scooter. Even the baby was catered for with a Pooh Bear rocker. If you are looking for a home away from home to help you enjoy your holidays. This is the place for you. I recommended it with a 10 out of 10. Thanks Jan and Chris. We will return. : )
