Westella House is the ideal place for those who love history. The house is surrounded by captivating cottage gardens. The extensive gardens reflect the changing seasons. You enter the building up the garden path through the rose arches. Once inside you are taken back to years gone by. All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with period furniture. The breakfast room is located on the ground floor and is heated by a wood fire with a carved orante original mantle. The carved staircase with the patina of age takes you up to the accommodation area on the first floor. Three guests rooms, 2 ensuite rooms and 1 with a private bathroom, are located on this level. Guests can also sit in the guest room on this level and watch TV, listen to music, read a book or just sip a glass of complimentary sherry and let the world go by.
Raymond Room (ensuite room) overlooks the front garden and has views over Bass Strait. The room has an antique wooden queen sized bed, antique wardrobe and double ended lounge. A desk and chairs are also provided.
Hunter Room (ensuite room) is a quaint room which is reminscent of yesteryears. It is furnished with an antique brass bed with half tester and lace canopy. It has an antique wardrobe and dresser, antique Georgian chairs and small table. You can sit in the chairs and admire the cottage garden at the back of the house.
Charleston Room (private bathroom) with its antique brass double bed and single ensemble will accommodate 3 guests. It is also furnished with an antique wardrobe, marble top dresser, Grandmother and Grandfather antique lounge chairs and desk and chairs. It has views over the front garden and Bass Strait.
All rooms come equipped with bathrobes, slippers, TV, heater, electric blanket and clock radio.
In the foyer area of the first level guests have the use of the tea/coffee making facilities. There are also books and magazines available to guests in this area. The gazebo in the garden is also available to guests to sit in and enjoy the views over Bass Strait.
