There are so many diverse activities in the Northern Rivers area.
The Blues and Roots festival is held in Byron Bay every year over the long weekend-four full on days of music and dancing with shuttle busses available from Ballina.
You could visit the interesting and rather alternate village of Nimbin. You can go scuba diving at the famous Julian Rocks off the coast of Byron Bay, you can go horse riding at Angels Beach, hang gliding at Lennox Head, see Byron Bay lighthouse and the wild goats at Cape Byron, or climb Mount Warning-part of the rim of a now extinct volcano.
For those of us a little less adventurous and energetic, you could visit the various markets held in the area every weekend, see 'The Big Prawn', visit Thursday Plantation-famous for its tea-tree oil, have a flutter at the Ballina races, have a round of golf or two at one of the many nearby courses or sit back and relax, keeping an eye out for the dolphins who frequent North Creek or even the whales making their annual migration off the coast of Ballina Headlands.
..........it's all just waiting for you!!
North Terrace is truely a home away from home.
