Description

Myanbah Cottage is nestled amongst 4000 acres of privately owned cattle country. This original workers cottage is fully self contained and can sleep 6 - 8 people. Quality bed linen and electric blankets make your stay warm and cozy even during the winter months. A walkers and birdwatchers paradise. Explore the area at your leisure or take the opportunity to go on the guided walks at heritage listed Mt Yarrowyck which is at your doorstep. You can go fishing and swimming or gold panning in the Gwyder River which runs through the property or just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility in your own private garden. Uralla and Armidale are 30 mins drive away - as are renowned vineyards, museums, art galleries and many historic places to visit.

Room Configeration

The cottage features three bedrooms - one with a queen bed, one with a double bed and the third has two single beds - all beds are fitted with electric blankets and feather doonas. Extra fold away mattresses are at hand. There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave and fridge. Tea and coffee are complimentary. A washing machine/drier and ironing board are also provided. The kitchen leads on to an open plan lounge / dining room - enjoy your meals in the warm glow of the log burner and then curl up on the comfy couch and enjoy a movie. Leading on from this there is a sunroom that can double up as a 4th bedroom with a fold away bed, or be used as a games / reading room (books and games provided - including table soccer). Enjoy the picturesque views, the peace and tranquility while sipping a glass of wine on the old veranda.

Other Activities

An abundance of wildlife such as kangaroos, echidnas, platypus and many different species of bird life may be seen on the bush walks. Take a stroll around a true working cattle farm or arrange to go horse riding on wilderness tracks. Those who need to de-stress can choose from a wonderful range of body massages to have in the comfort of your cottage (on request). For the thrill seekers take a once in a life time scenic helicopter ride over the gorge and escarpment (by prior arrangement). For the little ones a three wheeler walking pram, high chair and cot, plus a toy box are available (on request). Hearty breakfast hampers are also available (on request) at a cost of $20.
