Mackerel Beach is a unique and little known part of Sydney adored by residents and visitors alike. Bordering Kuring-gai National Park it is accessible only by water and as such has been able to retain its village character.
There are no shops, no restaurants and no cars at Mackerel Beach so bring everything you need for a relaxing and stress free stay.
Murraya is ideal for one or two couples – there are two bedrooms (one mezzanine and one enclosed), an open plan lounge, dining area and a large deck looking out to palm trees and cliff tops.
Mackerel Beach is blessed with an abundance of creatures such as pythons, goannas, lyrebirds, brush turkeys, ducks, parrots and wallabies. Depending on the time of year you may get to see all of these.
Walk on the beach (only 5 minutes walk), have a swim, take the kayak for a paddle (there’s room for two) bush walk to neighbouring beaches, have a game of petanque or just kick back and read a book.
There are no shops, no restaurants and no cars at Mackerel Beach so bring everything you need for a relaxing and stress free stay.
In addition to your groceries we suggest books and magazines (although you may borrow the ones in the house), swimwear and very casual beach attire.
Linen is provided.
