The Retreat is a stunning and secluded three-bedroom luxury villa and is less than a 10-minute walk from the beautiful, golden sands of Four-Mile Beach.
Completed in 2007, The Retreat features cutting edge indoor/outdoor design elements which when combined with its own private pool provides everything you need for the perfect getaway.
Wide overhanging eaves shade the secluded outdoor pool area while a stone servery beside the barbeque allows you to set yourself up to relax the day away and enjoy the balmy Port Douglas weather to the full.
The Villa has been independently assessed to a 4 star rating by AAA Tourism and was only a whisker away from being rated 4 ½ star.
Families love The Retreat as its easy to keep an eye on the kids in the pool from the living area, or from the private bedroom balconies.
Travelling couples like it because each bedroom features its own bathroom or en-suite, a private balcony or courtyard, walk-in robes and large louvered windows to let in the cooling sea breezes.
The beautifully furnished living area includes an 81cm widescreen TV (Pay TV available) with DVD player. The gourmet kitchen features stone benchtops and Bosch appliances, microwave and fridge.
And all living areas and bedrooms have individual air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The bedding configuration is very flexible the upstairs single beds can be ziplocked into a full King or Queen if required.
With all this, and undercover secure parking for two vehicles, The Retreat is great value for money and inexpensive when considered against Port Douglas accommodation of comparable quality.
The Retreat is centrally located in a secure gated estate just a 10-minute walk from the beach.
Only a short stroll down the road at Four Mile Village you can buy the best coffee in Port Douglas at OTZ Food and their homemade banana bread, ricotta and maple syrup breakfast is simply to die for!
The Retreat is also within easy reach of some of the world's most beautiful golf courses. Or, for a special night out, you can't top the nearby "Sassi at Bale" voted in 2007 as Queenslands best new restaurant.
Macrossan St Ports' main tourism strip is within 5 minutes by car or shuttle bus. Its a fair hike into town. However, if you want to walk, the best way to get there is via the beach as the journey is a delight in itself.
