Wave View Beach House is a modern fully-equipped holiday home situated at Scamander , on the sunny East Coast of Tasmania.
Enjoy surfing, swimming , body-boarding, golfing, fishing or long walks on the spectacular beach.
Take a short stroll to the local Scamander beach hotel where you can enjoy a relaxing drink before dinner at the restaurant.The local golf club also supplies good old fashioned home cooked meals at great prices,great for families.
Alternatively you can choose to barbecue on one of the decks at Wave View Beach House.
Scamander is centrally located on the East Coast and is a short 15 minute drive to St Helens and about 25-30 minutes to Binalong Bay , beautiful Bay of Fires beaches and The Gardens beaches.
An easy 40 minute drive south of Scamander will take you to Bicheno and numerous other beaches along the way.
Take a tour of the wild -life park at Bicheno.
You can enjoy surf fishing at most beaches and game fishing from St Helens (charters available from St Helens)
For the avid fishing people there is also fishing on the nearby Scamander River.
If you enjoy bushwalking there are plenty of places to explore in the East Coast hinterland.
Four Wheel Drive Tours, Surfing School, Scenic Flights are all available in the area.
If you are looking for a truly relaxing holiday where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of city life in clean comfortable accommodation suited to families, couples or a small group of friends, then this is the place for you.

My mum and I enjoyed another stay at "Waveview Cottage" always comfortable and so close to beach...and short distance from other places to visit.

This is a lovely house situated with walking distance to the Mouth (beach) at Scamander, it is a lovely house, it was perfect, definately want to book this house again. The East Coast of Tassie is beautiful. This is a perfect spot! Thanks Ian and Shellie for letting us use your lovely house, we will be back!!! :) :) :)

My elderly mum of 91 was very happy with her visit, and would like to return again sometime.

Our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 litle girls) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With upstairs and the the two decks there was plenty of room and the house was certainly well equipped with everything we needed. We found the bathroom and toilet combined a little inconvenient at times but it overall wasn't a drama. Would certainly go again.

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wave View Beach House. It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and full of every thing a large family need to enjoy a beach holiday. The kids loved the huge bedroom upstairs, with their own deck overlooking the ocean. We definately did not want to leave and are looking forward to our next holiday in Scamander!

Is a great house pretty much in the middle of scamander close to beach close to the hotel and golf course and bistro !! also close to forestry tracks great for dirt bike riding! perfect house set up! every thing is supllied! will stay again for shore!!!

I would recommend a stay at this property to anyone, we had a wonderful break and having everything supplied was the best thing possable for me as a mother. The weather was great, sunshine everyday, great walks on the beach with my little dog, area has plenty to see and do or if you are just like me, want a break from work and phones, this retreat is ideal

This is a fantastic getaway destination. The house is spotless and well stokced with TV, DVD player and even DVDs to watch!

Had a great time at Scamander. House was just great. Clean and well presented. It was good that you do not need to worry about bring your own linen etc when travelling. Especially these days when airlines charge you for your luggage. Cooking facitilates were modern and in good working order. Bedding was comfortable for weary surfers after a hard day surfing. Even though there was not much surf around, we surfed every day at a few local beaches
eg beerbarrels and a secret spot south of Scamander. Appreciated all your advise and assistance (fish and chips were great from the local shop, met and spent some time with Dale from the surfshop). In all we had a great time at wave view beach house.

Dear Ian and Shellie,
Thanks for letting us enjoy your lovely house. Unfortunately my daughter
who was hoping to come from Sydney couldn't come at the last minute because
of work commitments, but Jenny and I really appreciated the comfort and
terrific position of your house. We didn't have a pen to write a comment in
your visitor book, which is why I'm writing this. We even managed an early
morning swim before we headed off to the Bay of Fires, which was as
beautiful as I had imagined. We look forward to another Tassie trip in the
future and hope to be able to show the Sydney daughter what she missed.
