Our beautiful luxury 2 bedroom Swimout apartment located within Sea Temple™ Port Douglas is available for private rental directly from the owners. We are able to offer you an exceptional rate because you are renting as our private guest (not as a guest of the hotel). Our local agent will check you in to our apartment when you arrive, and will be available to assist you for the duration of your stay.

Sea Temple is just a few minutes away from the heart of Port Douglas, and is located between the famous Four Mile beach and a spectacular links golf course. A spectacular salt water lagoon weaves around the resort into a grand lagoon area which is lit by shimmering golden flames in the evenings. Set in lush tropical gardens, the resort is decorated in a Balinese style and boasts a gymnasium (access included), fine dining restaurant*, world-class day spa*, pool bar*, business facilities*, a boutique* and conference and function facilities* (*extra charges apply).

OUR SWIMOUT APARTMENT PROVIDES DIRECT ACCESS TO THE LAGOON

Swimout’s are the most desirable apartments in the resort because they offer direct access to the lagoon from the apartment terrace. With direct access to the lagoon from your own private terrace, there is no need to catch an elevator or walk across public pathways with towels to gain access to the swimming pool. Also, you don’t need to get up early to reserve a sun lounge by the swimming pool because you have two available facing the lagoon on your own private terrace. The terrace is the ideal place for having an afternoon snack, reading a book or just watching other guests swim by!

As our private guest, you will enjoy one of the best located swim out apartments. In addition to the direct access to the beautiful lagoon swimming pool, our apartment is also one of the closest to four mile beach, and is located away from the noise of the restaurant and pool bar. We also get the morning rather than afternoon sun.
Access to the famous four mile beach is about a minute’s walk away via a pathway accessible at the rear of the apartment.

ABOUT OUR SWIMOUT APARTMENT

Our apartment is decorated in a contemporary Balinese style. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen with BOSCH appliances including dishwasher and microwave, and a washing machine and dryer.
Our apartment is furnished in a comfortable Balinese style ideally suited for the tropical climate of Far North Queensland. We have a zoned air conditioned system allowing you to adjust the temperature in the apartment in two zones.

Internet and Pay TV
We have a television with some pay TV channels included, a DVD and CD player and a telephone with all local calls included. Internet access is available for an extra charge using our apartment’s cable broadband internet connection or through the hotels WIFI network. The additional charge is payable online when you connect to the internet provider. If you are able to bring your own internet enabled device (such as an IPAD), we recommend you use a Telstra 3G wireless connection which we have found provides excellent performance within the apartment and throughout the entire resort.

An excellent option for families with babies and children...
Most families who travel with young children ensure at least one adult stays in the apartment when the children have their morning and afternoon naps. Staying in a Swimout apartment changes all that, because you can still go for a swim and sunbake whilst keeping an eye on your children’s bedroom.

We have a young four year old son, and have stayed in our apartment many times since he was born. Staying in the swimout has meant both my wife and I have been able to enjoy our holiday. There is also a toddler pool covered by a shade cloth and we also have lots of pool toys available for our guests to use.

Romantic Getaway
Sea Temple Port Douglas is an idyllic romatic getaway. Take long strolls on beautiful four mile beach and find a private spot where you will be the only people for miles. Enjoy an evening cocktail on the Swimout terrace, or take a late evening swim under the shimmering flames in the grand lagoon. Book a treatment in the day spa, or enjoy a romantic dinner for two in the hotels restaurant - or just stay in for the night and get a delivery. Go out to the reef on one of the luxury yachts or book a rainforest dinner late at night. Sea Temple Port Douglas is a popular destination for honeymooners and our luxury private swimout is one of the best located in the resort - close to the beach, and away from the noise of the pool bar and restaurant.

2012 TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE - FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
Tens of thousands of intergalactic observers will congregate in Port Douglas this November 2012 to witness one of the world's most unique events.
At 6:38am (local time) the morning of 14 November the sun will become completely obscured by the moon leaving an area of only 150km wide in total darkness but for an awe inspiring electric corona silhouettng the moon.
These events over time have shaped the history of the world, inspiring many of the world's first assumptions of the universe not to mention their affect on even earlier religious and spiritual beliefs.
The phenomenon that is the 2012 Total Solar Eclipse can only be seen in one place on earth – Far North Queensland Australia. It will track over a small sliver of land between Cairns and Port Douglas allowing a totality of approx 2 minutes if witnessed near the red line.
With much of the accommodation already booked in Cairns, Palm Cove and Port Douglas by international wholesalers and eclipse enthusiasts even as early as 2006, very few opportunities are still available to witness this historic event.
